Bella has been asking me to come over to his house for the past week, but I've been coming up with pretty good excuses.

Some people have been giving me dirty looks as I walk through the hallways, but I don't know what for. It's not like they know I've been lying to Bella all week.

I just hope that it's not hurting her as much as it's hurting me.

I looked at my alarm clock.

2:18 a.m.

I wonder who's texting me. I wondered.

It said Unknown Number.

Hm.

I unlocked my phone and looked at the text.

Hello Olivia, sorry to wake you but I'm afraid I have some very alarming and sad news. Bella has committed suicide. We don't know why, but we're hoping you can give us some answers since you were her closest friend. Give me a call tomorrow. - Dartha

I had to read the text over 10 times to take it all in.

But finally, I got the meaning.

Bella was dead.

A/N Are any of you guys fans of the band Green Day? If so, do you like the original version of Welcome To Paradise off of Kerplunk!, or do you like that song on Dookie better? In my opinion I like both of them, but I'm gonna lean towards the original bc that instrumental part is amazing. 😏😊
