Dean could barely breathe or think as he made his way out of the house. He was finally going to see Sammy again or at least find out where he was. He had to remember something though, this wasn't going to be a reunion with hugs, because it was very likely that Sammy didn't remember him. So he had to be prepared if Sam didn't recognize him, he wrote a quick note for Bobby so the older man wouldn't worry.

Taking a deep breath, he grabbed his car keys and got inside the impala. As he drove off, a bunch of different scenarios played out in his head about how this conversation would end.
"I don't know what to say or even think, " Dean said to himself. A few minutes after he left the house, Bobby came down from his room and noticed the note.
Dad someone called me with information Sammy, be back soon.
-Dean

"Oh no, " Bobby said as he read the note and instantly feared what this meant. Anyone could have called Dean, and since he knew that Dean how desperate was for information on his brother. Chances were others did as well and could easily use that against him. He pulled out his phone so he could call his son but a notification from the news discrated him. Unfortunately reading it only made him worry more.
"Screw you, John I should have known that you'd escape one day! " Bobby exclaimed.

There was no time to waste, Dean had to know the truth about Sam before John tore them apart. He dialed his old friend Ellen since Dean told him that she was Sam's mom. It rang a few times before she answered.
"Hello?" She asked her voice still horse from sleep.
"Ellen its Bobby," he said trying to keep himself calm.
"I haven't heard from you in years, what is it? " Ellen asked as he hardly ever called her.

"Its John Winchester he's broken out of prison, and I think he's going after the boys. Dean just got a call from someone claiming to have information on Sam, " Bobby explained.
"So your son is the Dean, he always talked about, " Ellen responded and the revelation was finally hitting her. They couldn't keep the brothers apart anymore, they had to know who the other was and that their neglectful father was hunting them.
"You figured it out too, huh? " Bobby asked realizing that she figured things out the same way he did.
"Yes the second Sam mentioned his encounter with Dean, I was suspicious but we can't dwell on that. We have to stop John from hurting them! " Ellen exclaimed.

Sam was confused when he saw Dean's car drive past his bus stop and towards central park. As far as he knew, Dean never went there, curious he walked away from the bus stop to some investigating.
"Yo squirt if you leave! You will be late for school! " Dirk called out but Sam didn't care, Dean at the moment was more important to him. Sam eventually had to change his pace to a run so he wouldn't lose Dean's car.
"What am I doing?" Sam asked himself as he tried to catch his breath as the impala came to a stop.

Dean got out of the car and Sam could practically see the anxiety on his face. He wanted to call out to his friend, and ask what the problem but he never got the chance.  As a middle aged man with a beard grabbed Dean's shoulder, and pulled him away.
"Dean Winchester? " the man asked and Dean nodded.
"Are you the man that called me? " Dean asked and at those words Sam got even more curious. Something was off about this man, just in the way he looked and spoke to Dean.

"Yes I am, I work with Ms. Jasmine or at least I did, I haven't seen her in awhile , " the man responded. Dean was confused by that statement because he didn't think that Ms. Jasmine was the type to just disappear.
"Oh dear is she alright? " Dean asked and the man smiled in response. It wasn't a friendly smile and Dean knew he should just run but he was desperate. Sam felt even more uncomfortable when he saw the way the man smiled at Dean. He had to do something, this man could be a serial killer.

However before Sam could spring from his hiding place, the man answered Dean's question.
"Oh I am sure she is hanging around somewhere but enough about that, I knew you're here because of your brother, " the man said.
"Yes I am, please tell me where he is so I can see him! " Dean begged he was tired of waiting, and after all these years he was finally getting an answer.
"So that's what this is about, " Sam thought as he continued to  eavesdrop.
"You're going to like what I have to say son," the man responded and placed a hand on Dean's shoulder.

Sam almost screamed at the action because he knew this man couldn't be trusted, he also knew that he had seen this man before.
"What are you saying?" Dean asked not sure what the man meant by that. The man didn't respond he just handed him a folded piece of paper. Dean was confused as he unfolding and once he read it, his heart almost stopped beating. It was a death certificate. "No, this can't be real! You have to be lying to me! " Dean yelled as tears welled up in his eyes.
"I am sorry you had to find out this way, but he is gone, " the man said to him.

"No I promised I would protect him, how did this happen!?" Dean asked now crying.
"He's lying, " Sam thought to himself, he knew that just by the way this man waa talking. That was it he couldn't stand watch anymore he had to step in before anything else happened.
"Dean don't listen to him he's a liar! " Sam called our making his presence known and Dean was surprised that the teen had followed him. The man growled at the mere sight of him and grabbed Dean again so Sam couldn't get his attention.

"I am sorry but its the truth, Samuel Winchester is dead. His family said he was depressed and never got over the separation from you, so he stopped eating and his body shut down, " the man explained and the story only made Dean feel worse. His poor baby brother, he was supposed to look out for him and now he was gone. Sam could see how much this was effecting Dean, and he gave the man a burning glare.
"You should leave now!" Sam demanded and the man waved his hand at the teen.

"Fine but you'll be seeing me again, " the man declared as he walked away from them. As soon as the man was gone Sam ran over to Dean but the twenty one year old pushed him away.
"Kid no don't bother, there is no point, " Dean cried.
"Dean you can't listen to him, he is a liar!" Sam exclaimed but Dean tearfully shook his head. It didn't matter, his brother was gone and he would never see him again.
"It doesn't matter Sammy is still gone!" Dean declared and Sam went silent at those words.

He hadn't heard the nickname Sammy in so long, only his father called him that. However the mere mention of it combined with the fact that Dean had said it made everything click inside his head. Blurry memories flashed inside his head and he saw himself looking up at a figure. He could  make out the blonde hair, green eyes, and amulet around his neck. All of this made him nearly fall over as he came to a stunning realization. He was Samuel Winchester, which meant Dean was his brother.
