Reader p.o.v

-flashback to start of last year-

"Come on y/n! Come with me to the game! Kenma wants me to scout out the next team they're playing!" Bf/n squealed at me.

"They're my own schools team, that's boring." I said back not showing any interest. But bf/n kept annoying me until I finally said yes.

-day of the game-

Bf/n walked into my room wearing a short but casual dress and twirled for me. "Wow you look great!' I exclaimed.

She smiled widely, but then deadpanned when she saw my outfit. "Plain shirt and tights with a jean jacket? Don't make me laugh!"

I was taken back, "Well you sort my outfit while I sit here!" She rummaged through my closet until she found a dress similar to hers.

I twirled in my outfit, I had added accessories but I looked great.

-timeskip to game-

"Wow they already have 5 points! And it's only been 2 minutes!" I exclaimed. Bf/n was squealing behind me at all the excitement.

"Woah look at everyone, they're in such great shape! I'm kinda jealous you've got an athlete as a boyfriend and I'm alone for valentines day." I pouted, resting my head on bf/n shoulder.

"Yeah but you could easily get a boyfriend! You're smart and hot and your clothes are-... well I can help with that. But over all you're great!" bf/n said with a smile. I just laughed at her face in reply.

The game went on for about 15 minutes before half time. We watched my school's team very closely as we were sent to inspect them, but I couldn't help let my mind go to other things...

"Oi y/n, you're drooling." Bf/n stated sharply. "Oh thanks." I said wiping it away with my arm.

"Anyway, see anyone that interests you? I think that short one would look good with you!" Bf/n said while pointing at the small one. I shook my head, "He looks too energetic for me."

-timeskip to after the game-

"Bf/n I'm thirsty I wanna get a drink." I said, getting up from my seat. She nodded and told me she'd be in the bathroom. So I set off to find a vending machine.

"Ah final- oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to bump into you!" I apologized after bumping into someone. They just looked at me.

I studied his face, then looked at his jacket, "Inarzak- Hey! I just watched your game you were amazing!" I beamed at him, but he just said thanks and walked to the vending machines.

We talked for a bit since we were getting our drinks I'd together. His name was Kita Shinsuke, I was sure I'd seen him around school since then.

After that game we'd talked for a few weeks and become good friends, he'd help me study and play volleyball, and in return I'd make him food and did anything he wanted.

After 6 months we started dating, and I didn't regret anything about it. Eventually we'd get more serious, and then it started getting boring. We stayed boring for at least 2 months.

And now he'd broken up with me. What do I do now?

I've started playing volleyball! I still have to improve but I wanna work harder than anyone else!
