Hawkes pov:

"Hey hey what's all the commotion in here!?" I entered the room to see my many fellow officers grabbing paper work and their gear in a hurry. 

"We just got a location on case 452, you know, missing kids that the parents are paying big money for?" My mate answered me.

"Really!? From who?" I asked suddenly brightened by the new news.

"A hiker who was travelling the woods. They were actually an old classmate of theirs. We dont have much info but we'll interrogate after we get them." Hakagi explained.

"Alright sounds good." I cooed with a sweet smile.

"We move out in 2 hours!"

Readers pov

"Do you want orange or yellow?"

"Hmmm. Orange." I smiled. "You like orange over yellow?" Suna laughed at me. "Yeah I guess."

He placed an orange flower behind my ear. "You look stunning. Now, which one do you want nex-" He paused.

"Is something wrong?" I asked him. No answer.

He stood suddenly and walked out of the room. "Hey what's up!?" I called out to him, then followed him into the bedroom.

"We need to go. Right now." He said hurriedly, packing clothing and necessities. "What!? Why!?" I demanded.

"Just hurry up!" He yelled throwing a backpack to the floor.

Then I realised. I knew what was happening.

"Sorry. I can help." I thought that maybe I could distract him long enough.

"I'm sorry for yelling. Here have a drink and I'll explain." Suna offered me a drink of water. I took it gladly.

"Thanks." I gulped it down. Gross. "What the hell is in this!?" I yelled, coughing over the table.

He just laughed, "Oh just my own recipe, made just for you." He stroked my hair as I spluttered over the table, my body desperate to get rid of the horrifying taste.

My eyes were getting hazy and my knees were wobbly. "S-suna..." I angrily croaked out.

My knees gave out and I fell into my seat. I managed to lift my eyes up to his gaze, as my head was getting heavier by the second. "Why..?" I managed to squeak out.

He grabbed my hand as my vision went dark and he whispered, "I just want to keep you safe."

Suna POV:

"I just want to keep you safe." were the last words she'd hear for a while. Sweet girl, she sleeps so calmly.

I pick her up and walk her to the car and get her comfortable. "Sleep tight sweet. Its gonna be a long ride."
