Readers pov:

I walked into the big room filled with different people. I knew what I was here for, so I walked straight to the chief of police.

"Sir, I'd like to speak to Suna Rintarou, if I may." I asked quietly, making sure no one could her us.

He looked at me puzzled and lowered his voice, "Why? You will definitely not be seeing him. After the trial case you'll NEVER see him again."

"If you let me see him, I won't tell my parents about the sudden 'money charges' and what they're for..." I smiled, knowing he couldn't refuse extra money. He looked left and right, "follow me" and led me into a small room.

There he sat, Suna Rintarou, Japan's newest topic, notorious kidnapper, my boyfriend.

The chief shut the door and left. I sat down across from him. "Why did you tell them that you kidnapped me?" I asked straight up.

He smirked, "Because I love you."

I sat up in my seat knowing that regardless of the situation, his feelings towards me wouldn't change.

"What did you tell them? And what will you say if they link our case to bf/ns death? You can't possible lie about it all.."

"I told them that I kidnapped you, my motive was to make a family. And if they ask about her, then I'll say she was at your house, and I took her with us." He said with ease.

"But you can't lie about all of it-" I argued.

"But I already have!" He yelled. "I've thought about this, I know what I'm doing okay? I need you to stay safe. I need you to stay out of jail..." He exclaimed.

I sighed. "What have you been convicted with?"

He leaned over the table and took my hands in his, "Look, we dont have much time. I need you to know I'm doing all of this for you. I love you more than anything and I'd die for you, really. I don't know if I'll ever see you again, but I need you to know that...that... I dont regret anything, and I love you."

"Suna Rintarou! Time to leave!" A tall man opened the door and walked in. He looked at me and nodded, he must've been getting the secret share of money too.

He took Suna's bounds off the table and put him in handcuffs. I stood up and walked right up to Suna.

"Suna. I'll never see you again. This is over.... I'm sorry." I confessed and gave him a quick hug. Embracing him for the last time felt too real, my eyes were prickling and clouding up.

I still loved him, but his and Kita's sacrifices were too great for me to lose composure and lose the opportunity that was given to me. I pulled away and turned on my heel, wiping the tears off my face, leaving him to his own fate.

-timeskip to end of trial-

"Suna Rintarou is sentenced to 30 years in prison!" BANG

I fell into my chair, not sure if I was feeling sad or relieved. Either way, it was inevitable that I'd never see him again.

"You okay?" Kita asked while rubbing my back. I nodded and wiped my tears. I didnt know if they were happy or sad ones.

"Yeah- just.. I'm glad it's over.." I cried with my head in my hands. It was true, after all that effort of trying to get home, I was finally home. Finally.

He stood me up and hugged me. While hugging, I looked over to Suna walking out of the room. It was like slow motion. I saw the frown on his face and the pity in his eyes.

I felt something. I didnt know if it was from him, Kita or from myself, but it was strange. It was a feeling of control. He knew everything about me, about us. And I knew everything about him.

He could end my life if he wanted. He could manipulate me into wanting him again, but that wouldn't happen. He was going to prison for what seemed like forever.

As he was about to walk out the door, I gave him a last quick smile, "Goodbye" I mouthed, tears falling down my face.

He must've seen them, we smiled back at me, and mouthed "Goodbye, love". And with that he was gone.

I turned my head into Kita's neck and started quietly sobbing. "Its okay. Hes gone now. We can live without him." He rubbed my back soothingly and shushed me.

"We?" I asked, looking up to him, my hands on his chest. He nodded. "Will you be my girlfriend..again?"

I laughed, "Yes! Yes! I will." I hugged him tight, and he hugged me too. "I'm so relieved. I love you."

"I love you too."
