The Dreadful Truth

Chapter 4

**Ava**

As Richard took me to my new office he told me I would be one of the first people to hear their new albums when they come out. Whenever they come out with one I have to come up with a poster and shirt design.

When we arrived at my office he showed me how to work my computer and where all the art supplies were. He even gave me 2 sketchbooks, one for home and one for work. After I got settled I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

"Hi Ava," Ashton said walking over to sit on my desk.

"Hi, Ash."

"I was gonna order some food and was wondering if you wanted anything, you'd own as a welcome to your new job kinda thing."

"Sure," I said laughing at how he was fidgeting, "what kind of food are you ordering?"

"What are you in the mood for?"

"I'm not really sure what to get since I just moved here so I guess surprise me!"

"You got it, dude," he said giving me a thumbs up walking out of the room.

I was already starting to get used to all the crazy stuff that was happening here even though it was only my first day. I was just glad that I was making friends. After Ashton gave me his number I knew we would get along great.

After working hard on nothing I plugged in my headphone and started to listen to their most recent album. While listening to it I tried to take notes on things I thought stood out to me that could be put into merch.

After a little bit of work, I looked up to see the 4 boys roll past on a single rolly chair. I got up out of my chair and stood in the doorway watching them roll past again and fall. After being spotted by Luke I went back in and waited to see if he would come in.

"Hey, Ava how's it going?" Luke asked.

"Well I wasn't really told what to do today so I guess good. I've taken a few notes down on some ideas but other than that it's been kind of slow."

"Yeah, sometimes Richard forgets he always has a lot going on so sometimes you just have to remind him about stuff."

"I'll keep that in mind." I said beginning to fidget with my ring.

"Well since you don't have much to do today do you want to come to hang with me and the other guys?"

"Depends can we get coffee?"

"If your gonna hang out with us you're definitely gonna need the caffeine," he said laughing a little.

"Great let me grab my phone and bag and we can leave."

"I'll go tell the guys! You can ride with me and michael."

"Okay, I'll meet you guys at the front."

As luke walked out of my office I walked over to the couch in the corner and grabbed my bag. I looked in the mirror I had hung up earlier and fixed my hair. I gave myself a little smile and went out to the front to meet Michael and Luke.

Hey guys I really never thought I would write this much but this might just be a normal now. I feel like it's a lot of writing but to you it probably isn't. I'm sorry I know I talk about that in like almost all my author notes so far but not life is boring. When I update it most likely will be the weekend when I have time to write so just a heads up.
