Sweeney's eyes held the orange flames dancing in front of him as he threw in the rest of Mrs Bradshaw's belongings. The crisp crackling of the flames burnt through her dresses and other personal belongings he added to the fire. He felt angry towards himself for not seeing the side to Mary that clearly Nellie had dealt with this whole time. She had been trouble and for that he was only too happy to see the back off her. He thought she was a kind person, little did he know she deserved her fate.
Closing the oven door Sweeney peeked three the small window watching as the flames consumed her possessions. With a psychotic grin he turned and made his way towards the bakehouse door. Opening and locking it behind him he then made his way up the stairs and towards Mrs Lovett's bedroom.
As he gently opened her door he noticed she was awake, now sitting up right in her bed.
"Sweeney wot happened?" Was her first and rather hurried question.
Closing the door behind him he made his way towards the bed and sat on the edge beside her. His tired eyes met her worried ones "You didn't kill Mary.....when we got to the bakehouse she was alive" he explained seeing the confusion spread across her face.
"She hit you over the head with one of the logs and you've been out cold since" he added trying to jog her memory yet by the looks of things she couldn't seem to remember.
Frowning Nellie didn't quite understand how that was possible. Mary had fallen from her shoot and hit her head rather hard on the floor below, how on earth had she survived that kind of impact.
"Pet?" Sweeney pushed making her eyes meet him again. Smiling gently in her direction he stroked away a stay curl from her delicate face and tucked it behind her ear .
"Where is she now?" She asked.
"In your oven" his reply would be shocking to most but for Mrs Lovett she simply nodded.
"And er belongings?"
"Also in the oven" he added watching as his naughty little baker smirked at the notion.
"Wait! Ya didn't throw away her jewellery, could be worth quite a bit" Nellie watched in ore as Sweeney simply smirked and removed said necklaces and bracelets from his trouser pocket.
"Not a complete fool" he chuckled placing them all in her lap but lifting a beautiful red Ruby necklace from the pile. "I want you to wear this one"
Her eyes gleamed in surprise. True the ruby necklace was beautiful so beautiful that Mrs Lovett was tempted by the idea of snatching it for herself. However they needed the money, times were hard and even with their business money was still hard to come by at times.
"No love, we need the money" she argued glancing at him as he admired the precious rubies.
"We have these others to sell pet, this one I want you to have for yourself....you would look so beautiful with my favourite colour dripping beautifully down your neck"
Smirking at him she knew it was the fact the necklace was red and resembled the colour of blood. He was a true demon when it came to his rubies...
"I could never afford such jewels as these....I want you to at least have one for yourself" he added his eyes scanning her beautiful face. Lifting her hand to his cheek she smiled and pulled him gently towards her kissing him sweetly in return.
"I love you Sweeney Todd...." she whispered between kisses only giggling when he shifted closer and ran his arms around her waist deepening their kiss. He couldn't get enough of her, Mrs Lovett was the most sensual seductress he had ever had the pleasure of loving.
