"Another" Sweeney ordered under his muffled breath. He was seated at the bar at the kings arms in north London, he had been here all evening drinking one after the other with no time to stop for air. He was mad, for why he wasn't particularly sure, but his fight with Nellie had pushed him over the edge. He found her jealousy childish and very irritating.

So what if another woman stayed with them? was she really that insecure to think he would get bored of her and find himself in Mary's bed?

God it made him angry!

"Another!" He repeated himself to the bartender slamming down his glass which finally caught the mans eye.

"Think you've ad enough mate" he answered back cleaning out a glass with a tea towel. The man seated before him hadn't stopped drinking, he was not going to be able to stand by this rate.

"Another" Sweeney's eyes met his narrowing warningly. He wouldn't repeat himself again, if he wanted a drink he would bloody well have it!

Giving in the bartender filled the drunks glass and shook his head with such judgment Sweeney could only sneer at him and throw it back in one.

"Here" Sweeney threw some coins down rudely and stumbled out of the public house. Many had turned to watch him leave which made him even more angrier! He would slit all their judgmental throats!

As he left the pub he was greeted with the bitter chill in the air yet he was far to numb to feel it. He kept his eyes low as he headed back towards the pie shop. There were lady's of the night parading around every corner sometimes not alone that had Sweeney glaring in disgust. He noticed the homeless and kept his head even lower not wanting to be targeted by their endless begging.

"Please sir" one lady called which annoyingly caught his attention. The woman cupped her grubby hands towards him visibly shaking, her tattered yellow hair covered most of her face, Sweeney could see she wasn't all that old.

"Please" she begged again as she began to follow behind him as he began to move away.

Growling to himself Sweeney reached into his coat pocket and threw some money at her hoping that would keep her off his tail. "Now leave!" He barked before throwing his hands back in his coat pocket and marching away into the dark night.

His boots squelched in the muddy puddles as the rain began to fall hard again making him growl inwardly and hunch up his shoulders as he walked he didn't have a hood so his hair was quick to get wet not that it bothered him all that much.

After walking for about 10 minutes the pie shop was finally in view. There was no one about just him it seemed as he headed towards the door and unlocked it with his key.

Walking into the shop not so quietly he closed the door which allowed the bell to chime loud again not like he cared all that much. Nellie was sure to be awake anyway, she always waited for him when he would go out for the evening.

Shrugging off his now wet coat he flung it on one of the booth tables and ran his hands through his damp hair. His eyes squinted through the dark and as he made his way to the counter he noticed a full glass of water with a note placed against it. Lifting the note it read the words 'drink me' in Nellies writing. Clearly she had left this for him knowing he would come in drunk.

Picking up the glass he chuckled slightly to himself before taking a few gulps. Suddenly all his irritation for her had subsided, she was rather funny when she wanted to be. Yes she was jealous and a nightmare at times but he did love that bloody woman after all.
