Anne Shirley is an orphan who is adopted by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert and grows up on their farm, Green Gables. The book is about Anne as she makes social blunders and tries to fit in with religion and morality that other children have grown up learning. She has difficulty blending into these social customs due to her character's qualities.

My opinion:
An amazing book. I loved this as a young child, it was one of my favourites. Was given to me by my Primary School Teacher. I love the character Anne and her feisty temper!
