Chapter 32- Akia's Mother

"Sure no prob," He says, going into the house. I go inside and get a camcorder. When I get back over there, I see a man, and a woman. I hide behind the corner of the house.

"Are you sure they're safe in there?"

"Of course Babe, don't worry." She smiles, at him and holds their hands. I get a closer look,

'Wait a minute..' "You're Charlotte? What are you-" She jumps up and gets scared. The man with the black hair walks up to me.

"You have the right to remain silent. Everything can and will be used-"

"Listen to me for a second, come inside, and if it makes you feel safer, hold the gun to me." I guess she sees the sincerity in my eyes, because she tells them to stop, and I lead them inside.

"Spill." She says, angrily.

"Listen, I'm on your side." I start to surf around my purse for the camcorder, "I bought this, and was going to record him butchering somebody. He is the murderer," I stop for a second, then look down, "And so is Akia." She gets surprised, then starts laughing.

"You're joking."

"No I swear I'm serious. He tricks her into killing the people." I look at her, and smirk. "Have you ever wondered what he meant by the 'has a surprise for you' He means a new person to rip open. He made a home-grown serial killer, and he should be waiting in the shed with something and covered in blood."

"So Akia's a killer, but he's created her exploiting her childhood innocence."

"We're going to hafta take her from this family," The african american man says, I smile sadly and nod agreeingly. Charlotte touches my shoulder,

"Its okay, don't worry she'll be in great hands." I look up at her, and she smiles. "That husband of ours will be in the slammer for a long time."

"She's not going to juvie?"

"No 'course not, its innocence, she's too young anyway, just a foster home, and if her 'habit' comes back.." She stops, "We'll just cross that bridge if we get there. You know you were quite a help. That could keep you from going to jail yourself." I get surprised, "Well you were an accomplice." She gets close to my ear, "Don't worry, you won't get any jail time." I sigh a sigh of relief, and half the police officers go and arrest him, again.

"Oh, Timothy, that guys already been caught, he's an escaped convict, he's going to get more time now."

"Great, just keep me and Akia safe."

"We will. We're having to put you in the Witness protection though, if you okay with that."

"Yeah, and where's Akia going?"

"To a different state, she's going to live with Allison and her mom."

"Alright...Just next time catch the person sooner, I don't want to have to be next.."
