Chapter 20- Akia's diary entry

Diary entry #3 July 20th-

"Today, Sydney slapped me because I said that I missed my mommy. She flipped, then after words I said 'Charlotte is my mommy, you're just the dummy who gave birth to me' than she slapped me and flipped some more. I told daddy but he didn't care, he stopped giving me work.

I think he's been busy with Sydney so he hasn't gotten me work. I'll bring that up to him after din-din, he'll listen to me. In fact he listened to me when Char was around, why is it different now? I think she's changing him. That he just wants her in his life. But I'm sure thats not the case. Sydney's an ugly bitch, why bother with her right? Oh daddy's home, brb."

I go downstairs, daddy gets greated with Sydney locking lips, then I get called downstairs. 'Maybe he's sticking up for me finally.'

"Yes daddy?"

"Did you upset mommy?"

"She's not mommy, and no."

"You little wit-"

"Hon, let me handle this. You can't just go around hurting peoples feelings. Now apologize to Sydney."

"But she slapped me!"

"So, you probably deserved it, if she would wait around to tell me that you made her sad."

'Deserved it? No. Never. I didn't do anything!'

"But I didn't do anything! She's lying to you! Daddy you're changing!"

"No, you are. Now apologize to Sydney."

"No."

"Why?"

"Cause I didn't do anything, why is she out to get me!?" They look at each other, she smiles and he frowns, and shooed her away for a bit, and we go outside and walk.

"Akia." He hasn't called me by my name in forever.

"Yes daddy?"

"I got you a patient."

"Really?" I get excited.

"Yes, she's in the shed."

"She?"

"Yes, its a female this time."

"I mostly get guys. This is gonna be so much fun!"

"I was thinking, maybe Sydney could help you."

"But...this was my thing, with you."

"Yes, but it'll make you guys closer."

"What happened to Char? I thought you loved her."

"She left you."

"No, she's just scared of you. Sydney hates you."

"Honey, thats posposperace." He smiles his smile. That mommy thinks is 'sadistic' whatever that means, I think thats a very handsome smile. Wish i had it.
