I can't lose you again

Chapter 15

Y/N POV

I stood still as I heard the generator turn on. My heart rate suddenly increasing. I reached to my left shoulder and spoke down the radio.
"Can you hear that?" My voice beginning to tremble.
"Yeah was that you or...?" Abi seeming to be equally as scared as I was.
"Nope" I said quickly. I whipped my head when I heard the metal door to the generator slam. I frantically opened the doors to the armoury and ran inside. I quickly grabbed an already loaded shot gun and a strap full of bullets. I quickly swung them over my head and ran out of the room as I began to run back to Abi.

"RUN!RUN!" I heard a male voice shout making me stop running and look in the direction of where it was coming from. I stood for a second wondering if there were any survivors from the other night.
"FUCK" I shouted as I ran the opposite way from Abi and towards the voice I heard. I reached the end of the hall way and saw a group of people run past not noticing me. I turned my head to the left and saw about 20-30 cranks running after them. I raised the shot gun gripping it tightly and started to shoot as I ran after them. They all stopped and looked at me. I quickly caught up to them.
"Can you use this?" I asked the boy with brown hair. He hesitated but before he could open his lips a smililer voice spoke.
"I can" I turned my head. I quickly passed him the shot gun. I was about to speak when a crank jumped out of one of the shops and onto someone making glass shatter everywhere. They screamed as they hit the floor with the crank on top of them. I reached to my right leg and pulled out my gun. I gripped it tightly and shot the crank in the head.
"COME ON FOLLOW ME" I shouted as I started to sprint everyone following me. Every few seconds I would turn my head to shoot the cranks that were getting closer.

"Y/N! Y/N! WHATS HAPPENING" Abi's voice shouted from the radio.
"Don't worry I- I'm coming back" I said between breaths. Then I turned back and fired two more shots.
"Damn it" I said as I reached inside my pocket to grab another clip to re-load my gun.
"HURRY Y/N! IM SCARED" Abi's voice shouted. I quickly changed the clips and put the empty one in my pocket.
"COME ON TAKE THE NEXT LEFT" I said  making an abrupt stop and shooting at the cranks again. I looked to my right and saw the guy I gave to gun to next to me. He fired a few shots then stood up as we both ran behind them. I quickly sped up and got in front of the people.
"GET READY TO OPEN THE DOOR ABI" I yelled down the radio.
"I c-can't" she stuttered.
"Why, what's wrong?" I asked quickly knowing that we would approach the back room soon.
"There are cranks outside, there's about 5" I sighed as I quickly ran faster so I could be the first one to turn the corner.
"Get ready, I'll tell you when to open it" I didn't hear her reply,assuming she understood. I reached the end of the hall way and slid on my side making the cranks look at me. I gripped my gun and fired at them. But I was one bullet short. I whipped my head towards the group of and heard a few gun shots then a shout.
"I'm out" he shouted and they all caught up to me.
"Me too!" I responded my eyes flicking from the heard of cranks to the door. I took of my bags off but quickly taking the radio. "Here take these" I demanded handing one to the brown haired boy and another to a small skinny one.
"Why- what are you-" I cut him off. I grabbed the knife Newt gave me and shouted
"Follow me!" as I bolted towards the crank that was near to the back room. I ran and jumped as I landed on top of it, tackling it to the ground. The knife falling out of my hand as I hit the ground. I rolled around for a few seconds. I looked over and saw the rest of them run up to me the cranks only meters behind them.

My body jolted as the crank went limp and fell on me I scrambled to my feet grabbing the knife on my way up. I look to the door and saw Abi holding a sniper.
"GET IN NOW" she shouted. I quickly pushed everyone inside and slammed the door shut. The cranks all running at us. I pushed all my body weight onto the door and locked it. I turned around and leaned against the door sighing in relief. My eyes widened as Abigail pulled me into a tight hug.
"Don't ever do that to me again" she said squeezing me harder. I chuckled. But I stopped as I soon remembered the people stood behind her. I pulled away and looked at them my face filled with annoyance and anger. But it soon fell as my eyes met his.
"Newt" I spoke softly. I ran to him and jumped into his arms. I was immediately engulfed by his scent. I pulled away.
"I thought you were dead" he exclaimed his eyes glossy. "I thought I was never going to see you again" he pulled me into another hug and squeezed me. A tear leaving my eye. I pulled away and looked at the others.
"Minho, Winston, Frypan,Chuck" I said pulling them all into a hug.
"Y/N! I've missed you so much"Chuck said his voice cracking as a tear rolled down his cheek.
"What's up lil shank" I turned and saw Minho. "Still got those moves I see" he said pulling me into another hug. I giggled at his comment.
"H-how this possible, how are you even alive?!" Newt asked. I looked at him and explained how I escaped that night. I told them I had no choice and I was trapped. They forgave me for leaving and told me it wasn't my fault. I also told them about how the people who once lived in the mall and what happened to them. All their eyes widened at my words.

"So who's are these people then?" I asked pointing to a girl and two boys.
"She is called Teresa, the boy next to her is called Thomas and the small skinny boy is called Aris" Chuck said. I smiled at him.
"I'm guessing you helped them all escape" I said raising a brow at Thomas. He nodded. He was about to ask a question but got interrupted.
"I'm tired" I tured and look at Abi who was on the couch yawning.
"Your always tired" I said giggling.
"Oh shut up" she said throwing a sock at me which was on the floor, making everyone laugh.
"Where are you guys headed to anyways?" Abi asked.
"The mountains. We are looking for the right arm" Thomas said making mine and Abi's eyes widen. "What?" He asked. I looked Abi who's eyes were already on me.
"We last had contact with them about a week ago" Abi started. "They said they were going to move to a safer place in about 2 weeks and that if any of us wanted to we could go to them." She stopped.
"We worked with them to help save immune from W.C.K.D." I piped in. "We've tried to reach them but it's no use since we've been trapped in here for 3 days with no power" I stopped, looking back at Abi.
"You should all get some rest" I said before Thomas could open his mouth. They all nodded and found a place on the floor. Abi and I waited for them to sleep. I picked up the bags I had passed to Thomas and Aris and brought them to the table. I took everything out and gave Abi a new clean pair of clothes. I held a blanket around her so she could get changed without anybody seeing just in case if they woke up. She thanked me and did same as I got changed. She laid back down on the couch and fell straight to sleep.

I walked quietly back over to the table and took the empty clip from my jacket pocket and refilled it. I also reloaded my Glock 17 and placed it back onto my right thigh. I started to put the stuff back into the bags when I felt familiar hands snake around my waist.
"Hey" his sweet voice whispered into my ear so he didn't wake anyone else up.
"Hi" I quietly chuckled as he buried his head into my neck. He placed soft kisses against my skin making me tilt my head back, allowing him more access to my neck. I could feel him smirk against my skin as I did so. His lips slowly began to move up to my mine, making me turn around so we were face to face. I looked into his chocolate brown eyes as he looked into mine. Making my heart beat out of my chest. I immediately moved my head forward making our lips connect. His soft ones moving in perfect sync with mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck as one of his hands moved from my waist to my cheek. He tilted my head back as he ran his tongue on my bottom lip begging for entry. I didn't hesitate to let him in. I craved feeling his touch for so long that I didn't want to stop kissing him. He pulled me in closer to him making our chests collide. I pulled away to catch my breath.
"I've missed you so much" he spoke softly, his hand pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.I smiled.
"Me too" I said before smashing my lips onto his. I ran my fingers through his hair lightly tugging at it, making soft and quiet moans leave his mouth. I slowly started to kiss down his neck. His heart rate increasing and his breaths getting deeper. I smirked as he tilted his head back letting me gently suck and nibble on his skin. I inhaled sharply when his hand gently wrapped his hand around neck making me look him in the eyes. He sent me a smile and I returned one as I pulled him into a hug. We stood there for a few minutes just cuddling until I yawned.
"Aww are you tired?" He asked me in a baby voice. I nodded my head yawning again. He chuckled whilst smiling. He picked me up bridal style and sat down leading against the wall. I laid there in his arms listening to the sound of his heart beating as I closed my eyes. I snuggled into his chest making him smile. He placed his head on top of mine and held me whilst I drifted off to sleep.

Newts POV

I had her in my arms as she began to fall asleep. I smiled at how cute she looked.  I began to hear light snores leave her lips.
"Goodnight, I love you" I whispered. I knew she couldn't hear me but I wish she did. I wanted to tell her how much she means to me but I just can't find the time for the words. I hugged her tighter as I closed me eyes and fell asleep. Knowing one thing for sure. That I was completely and utterly in love with her.
