Sirius' POV (Angela)
I crouched down near the bush behind Joshua's house.
Yes, I am aware of how creepy it would look if someone walking by saw a teenage boy hiding behind the bush, watching a teenage girl through the windows.
But they won't see a teenage boy.
I was in my wolf form. My humongous black figure was blended into the shadows as I hunkered down.
Okay, I will admit. It was still creepy.
But this was the only way I could keep an eye on Denver. I still didn't understand her, and it was driving me absolutely bonkers. I knew there was some sweetness underneath that cold, sassy exterior, but she won't allow me to see it. Why not? I did try to apologize to her for what I did. What more does she want from me?
Okay...I didn't exactly try to apologize, but she shut me out before I had the chance to think about it.
Keeping my weight evenly on all fours, I slowly stalked around the perimeter and didn't stop until she was visible. Her hair shone from the moonlight that was seeping through the window. A perfect creature.
A low growl escaped from within my throat as I imagined myself nipping and licking every inch of her body. Shit...why am I so horny? This wasn't even the mating season.
I even bought some food from a well known Italian restaurant earlier and personally delivered to her. You know what they say, food is the way to a woman's heart.
Alas, they were wrong because she practically took the food off my hands and slammed the door to my face. So much for winning her heart.
I had smiled in my head when I saw her enjoying the food. Even though I prefer her to enjoy something else of mine...
She had looked outside, and our eyes met for a brief moment. But good thing I wasn't in my human form, or else she'll have more reason to hate me. I backed off and left before she became more suspicious.
In the morning, I caught up with Xavier before he left for school.
"Hey X, I need to ask you for a favor," I said.
"What's up?" he asked.
"I think you should go back to Joshua's house and help him get to school. Denver might have a hard time handling him with his injury. I would do it myself, but she hates me," I shrugged.
"Okay," he said quietly.
I looked at him with surprise. I didn't expect him to agree right away. I thought he would throw a fit about how I was being unfair and subjecting him to Josh's unruly behavior.
"So...you don't mind?" I smirked.
"Don't look at me like that. I am just trying to be nice even though he is annoying as shit. You know...since it was kind of my fault he got hurt." Xavier scratched his head nervously. "But if he tries to do something dirty, I will fling him like a baseball."
I chuckled and let him go on his way.
I didn't see Denver all day at school, nor did I attempt to reach out to her in person. Instead, I focused on hanging out with Xander and Robbie. Xavier was sort of MIA.
I smirked at my phone as I saw it light up with texts. The texts I have been looking forward to since this morning.
"There you go, mysteriously smiling at your phone again. Who is this girl you've been talking to?" Robbie winked.
"Who said it was a girl?" I avoided his eyes.
"You are telling me you are blushing like a newly wedded bride at a text from someone who is not a girl? Did I miss something?" Robbie laughed.
"It's none of your business," I barked.
"Fine, fine. No need to jump on my throat. I was just curious."
He proceeded to say something else but stopped as we heard a huge commotion going down the hallway.
Three of us dropped everything and ran towards the noises. We couldn't miss a chance to see a good fight.
Six or seven students were crowding around something and chanting. "Fight, fight, fight!" A scrawny looking kid was shouting. His screechy voice echoed through the hallway.
I pushed past a few students to take a good look.
Xavier stood there holding a big, scruffy looking guy by his collar. His feet were dangling 3 feet off the ground as Xavier held him steady. There will be no fight by the looks of it because Xavier could squash that kid in seconds.
I saw Joshua crouching down on the side with his hand on his nose. Blood seeped through it like someone just punched him.
I stood in front of Joshua. "What the hell happened?" I asked.
"Um...that kid, I think his name is Kevin asked me for some lunch money but I refused. So he punched me on the nose and called me a faggot. Wolfdaddy saw what happened and went berserk on Kevin. Isn't he so hot?" Joshua beamed as if he forgot he was hurt.
I didn't answer and focused on Xavier, who was seething with anger. His muscles rippled under his shirt. His eyes were almost to the point of changing from blue to a bright shade of amber. This was no good. I need to stop him before he changes completely.
"Xavier," I calmly called him.
He didn't listen and slammed the kid to the locker, who looked at him with a terrified expression.
"You don't hit him. You never hit him," Xavier's voice sounded calm and low, but I could see his chest was rising and puffing from the anger that fueled inside him.
"S...sorry...Xavier," Kevin stuttered.
"Xavier. Put him down," I grabbed his shoulder tightly and hissed.
He finally snapped out of it and put Kevin down. His eyes slowly turned back to his normal shade of blue. "Apologize to Joshua. NOW," he barked.
"I am so sorry, Joshua! I'll never beat you up again!" Kevin didn't waste any time apologizing.
"And?" Xavier urged him.
"I...I am sorry for calling you a faggot," Kevin mumbled.
Joshua didn't say anything and held his thumb up. Kevin ran off to the distance in a hurry like a hoard of buffalos was chasing him.
"This was a reckless thing you did, X. What if people found out?" I said in a hoarse whisper.
"Find out what?"
I spun around as I heard Denver's voice behind me. She was looking at us curiously. Fuck...
Hi y'all.
Thank you for reading.Well, well. Sirius backed off a bit. But Josh being Josh had to get into trouble, good thing Xodiac was there to show a bit of muscle, maybe he's really not that opposed to Josh? How do you think Sirius will worm his way out of explaining to Denver?
If you like it then pop a vote and maybe leave comments. I'd love to know what you think.
Give me a follow too for updates. I'd appreciate that.
