Luke's P.O.V

"All the single ladies!" I sang at the top of my lungs.

"Dude," Ashton chuckled, walking into the doorway of my new room and standing against the doorframe. "You seriously need to get a life."

I paused my queen's singing and exclaimed, "Excuse me! But if you're not gonna respect my music choices, then I'll just go back to my old shit-town."

"Sorry, sorry." He held his hands up in defense. "Just thought you would want to go out and explore the city, especially since it's really only your first time here."

He was right, I did need to go learn my way around the town. I had just moved into my Internet friend Ashton's apartment, because my old town was terrible. The people there could just never find it in their hearts to accept me. They said I was 'too feminine', which was true I guess, but I always thought I had just the right amount of feminine attitude.

When Ashton offered for me to stay with him, I was truly surprised since no one had ever really cared for me that much before. My dad honestly couldn't have cared less when I asked my parents for permission, but my mom on the other hand took some convincing. She reluctantly agreed after I listed off the many reasons why it was a good idea. Ashton's town was just a little over an hour away, so it was not like I was about to move halfway across the country.

He was just as excited as me, if not more. He's always been there for me, and I've always returned the favor, but I don't think there would ever be anything I can do to truly show him how grateful I am.

"Like, where would I even go? I'm sure I'd get lost in a heartbeat," I wondered, shrugging then shaking my head.

"That's why I'm gonna take you! Now come on!" He said excitedly, walking over and grabbing my hand to pull me off of my bed.

"Fine," I huffed dramatically. "Just let me change first."

He left the room the let me change and I started to undress. I quickly threw my shirt off, replacing it with a sweater, and went to fix my hair in the mirror on my wall. Once I was finished, I went out into the living room.

Ashton was sitting on the couch texting. I crept up behind him and smacked the back of his head, questioning, "Who ya texting, dipshit?"

"First of all, OW! And second, Michael," he said sheepishly.

"Ooh! Ashy's got a boyfriend!" I mused.

"We're not even dating, so shut up," he pouted

"Yeah, but you wish you were, right?" I assumed, knowing Ashton way too well.

"You know what, we should get going." He changed the subject, standing up and heading for the door to slip his shoes on. I did the same, knowing that his awkwardness meant a 'yes'.

I mentally squealed at the thought of my best friend finally finding a hot guy. And yes, I had seen Michael. I can fully and honestly say that he is attractive. He has an eyebrow piercing and he had recently dyed his hair blue, which used to be bright red. They go to the same college, so they always get to see each other.

One day he brought Michael over to his house and I video chatted Ashton, not knowing he had company. But when he answered, Michael was sitting right behind him, resting his chin on his shoulder so that he could see the screen. And that's how we met.

We go down the all of the stairs to reach the first floor, since what is now our apartment is on the third floor, and get into the car. I immediately turn the radio on once Ashton gets the car running, letting Green Day fill our ears.

Ashton took me to basically every place he knew. The town was much bigger than I had expected it to be. Even though he did just show me where everything was, the only places I really remembered were the pizza parlor, the school I'd be going to, and where my dance classes would be held.

Dancing was pretty much my life, it has gotten me through everything. I'm pretty good at it too, if I do say so myself. I was one of the best in my class where I used to live.

That was the only thing I liked about that hell-hole of a town. The people there actually accepted me too. There were a few other gay people in there, too.

Tomorrow was my first class, and I couldn't sit still when I thought about it. I just hoped everyone was as nice as the group that had accepted me before.

So, yeah... I started a new book because I've kinda been wanting to, but I just couldn't come up with a good idea. But I finally thought of one, so I decided to start it immediately.

I came up with it while randomly jamming out to Beyoncé. I honestly have no idea why I was, but just go with it. Then I started looking up people dancing to her music, and BAM! It hit me! A little dramatic, but you get the point.
