Can we just take a moment to admire these damn sex gods on the top/side... This gives you sort of an idea of what Calum and Michael will look like because they're both in punk form for this fic.

Double update because I can.

____________

I was getting ready to leave when I got a text from Ash.

Ashy: Hey, Michael wanted to hang out and I can't pick u up. You think you can get a ride from someone?? Plz

I sent him a quick "sure" and search for Dakota. I found her and tapped her shoulder to get her attention.

"Oh, hey Luke. You did great at practice today. You're really good," she pointed out.

"Thanks." I nodded. "Look, my roommate can't pick me up; you think I could get a ride from you?"

"Actually, I was gonna stay for a bit longer and help the other classes, but I know someone who could give you a ride," she said with a grin. I questionably agree, earning a nod from her. She tells me to wait outside while she goes and gets him. Him. Oh, boy. She said him. Who could it be?

I do as I'm told and sit down on the curb, patiently waiting. The cold chill of winter makes me pull the sleeves of my sweater down.

"Come on, newbie." A voice snaps me out of my thoughts on the coldness. I turn to see Calum motioning for me to follow him.

"You're my ride?" I raise an eyebrow, catching up to him.

"Yeah, you got a problem with it, you could always just walk," he suggested with a shrug.

I violently shook my head, giving up and sliding into the passenger seat of his car, and letting the smell of cigarette smoke surround me.

We pulled up to the apartment building and I turned my head to Calum, offering, "You wanna come in for a bit? There are some sweets upstairs. Plus, we have fifa." I wasn't really meaning to invite him in a 'hey, let's be friends' sort of way. But in a 'I'm just trying to be nice' sort of way.

"Sure, why not?" He shrugged, turning the car off.

We trudged up the many steps to the three bedroom apartment. I unlocked the door once I had dug out my keys and let us in. I threw my bag down next to the couch and set the keys on the counter top.

"Hey, you said we?" Calum said, sitting down on a barstool.

"Oh, me and my roomie. He actually made all the sweets, it's something he really enjoys doing. His name's Ashton. He's also the one who was supposed to pick me up today, but his boyfriend wanted to hang out so..." I shrugged, taking the wrapped up plate of cookies from the pantry. I set them down in front of Calum once they were unwrapped and went back to grab other things.

"He's gay?" He questioned, biting into a chocolate covered fortune cookie. Ashton even had me write down the fortunes especially for them. He loves to cook and bake, so he likes to go all out, even if they were just gonna be eaten by me and him, and maybe Michael if he came over, and now Calum.

"Yeah, sorry if your homophobic, but that's just the way it is," I told him like I really wasn't sorry at all, which I wasn't. I hate homophobic people. I mean, of course I would! I'm gay and my best friend is gay. Why wouldn't I?

"Oh, no! I'm not a jerk like that. I mean, yeah, I'm a jerk, but not in the homophobic sense," he said a little frantically like I had already begun judging him, which I sort of was.

"Good."

We somehow ended up on the couch, playing fifa, with most of the food gone or all over the coffee table.

"I'm going to beat you!" He yelled over the game and loud music I had turned on.

"Are you sure about that?!" I taunted, scoring the winning point. "Ha!" I laughed harshly as I jumped up and did a little victory dance. "In your face Hood!"

He made a pouty face, and it actually made him look like not such a bad guy, but I knew that it wouldn't last for long.

It was kinda late by now, and I assumed Ashton was staying over at Michael's. Not that it really bothers me. He can have his own life if he wants.

I actually learned quite a bit about Calum while we were eating and playing. Like how every tattoo has a meaning, and that he wouldn't get one if it didn't have one. He really is a character, I swear. And not the one you would expect either.

"Damn," he muttered looking at his phone. "I gotta get going. I'll see you at tomorrow's practice, right?"

I nodded.

"Thanks. I really had fun. You should have your roommate make some more cookies and bring them up to the studio for everyone. They're really good," he suggested, slipping his shoes on.

I nodded again as I followed him to the door. I waved him off with a smile.

I looked back at the mess we made and sighed. There were crumbs everywhere, the books and magazines that were on the coffee table were scattered, and most of the baked goods were gone. Hopefully Ash doesn't mind.

I cleaned up the plates first, setting them in the sink for later. Then, I restacked the books and magazines into seperate piles. Next, I vacuumed the carpeted floor. Lastly, I turned the TV and the stereo off and headed for my bedroom.
