Chapter 18 - Celebration

| Time Lapse | A week later

POV | Ryujin
I slammed my lips on hers. I was so happy that we had both gotten into JYP. In between the kiss, she said, "I.. love... you.." I pulled away, "I love you too.. and we're gonna do this thing, kitten.." She smiled and stroked my hair. "We will." I looked back to see Lia, Yuna, and Chaeryoung. "What are you two talking about?" I bit my lip, "We have some exciting news... but let's go out tonight and we can celebrate it.." They all looked curious. Yeji looked at them, "We'll tell y'all there.." They nodded and left. "Does that mean.. we'll celebrate tonight.." Yeji drew circles on my chest. I smirked, "You want to?" She nodded and I chuckled. "We should invite everyone we know.. including you parents.." I froze, "P-parents?" I pulled away from her. "I-is something wrong with that?" I bit down, "We don't talk about my parents.. not between you and me.." She looked confused, "But babe.. you can't trust me?" I looked down, "We don't talk about it.." I got up and went to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror. I didn't want to tell her what've I went through with my parents. I've went through a lot. My dad left when Jonghyun passed.. and he said.. that I'd turn out the same way. I never saw him again. But he does pay things for me. He doesn't think that I would be as successful as Jonghyun. He'd be so disappointed if I became an idol. I looked, seeing Jonghyun. "Do what you want Ryu. Be an idol. Don't worry about dad.." I looked down. "But.. what if he doesn't accept?" Jonghyun shook his head, "I'll make sure he accepts you.. for me." I touched the mirror.. he disappeared. Yeji was standing in the doorway, I jumped when she made a noise. "W-who isn't gonna accept?" I bit my lip, "My father..." She came over and kissed my cheek, "About us?" I froze, "God.. I forgot about that too.." She looked at me, "Too?" I huffed, "Since Jonghyun was a K-pop idol.. he uh took his own life.. as you know and he doesn't think I'd be successful.. I'm sure he wants me to stay as far away from being an idol." She held my arms, "He doesn't have to support you.. I'll support you hon.. even if I don't get in." I hugged her, "I love you.." She held my head, "I love you too.. but.. shouldn't you atleast reach out to your dad?" I pulled away, "I-I guess..." I walked past her and went to my phone, picking it up. I called him, Yeji was standing right next to me. "H-hello?" I asked. "Hello Ryujin.. do you need something?" I looked down, "I uh.. I'd like to meet you in person.. tonight." He then asked, "Ryujin, is something wrong?" I gulped, "We will talk about it.. once you get here. I'll text you the details.." He said, "Okay.. do you know what's coming up?" I stepped away from Yeji, "Yeah.. J's birthday.." I felt a lump in my throat. "Yeah.. I know hon.. I know you miss him, I do too. But I want you to come with me to his grave on his birthday.. something I'd like to tell you both." He spoke in his accent. "Alright dad.. I'll uh see you tonight.." I felt hand on my waist. "Okay.." He hung up and set my phone down. I looked at Yeji. "So what'd he say?" I held her hand, "He'll be there.. and something about Jonghyun.. but yeah.. I'm nervous.." She kissed me, "Don't be nervous babe.." I kissed her back, "O-okay.."

POV | Yeji
I decided to call my friends. I invited Jaemin, Twice's members, Got7, Daehwi, and my other friends. I then called my mom and dad. "Hey guys.. I have some exciting news that I'm gonna be celebrating with my friends and family, could you guys come?" They said yes, of course. I smiled and leaned on my crutches. Jihyo walked in to see us calling people. "Yeji! Why'd you call Sana, Nayeon, and Jeongyeon?" I looked at her, "I called everyone... We're having a party tonight.. because me and Ryu have some news that we want to share so you better be there.." She nodded and walked out.

| Time Lapse | An hour later

POV | Ryujin
After we were done calling people, we cuddled in bed. I couldn't help but think of what my dad would say. Tears fell down my cheeks, "W-what if he doesn't accept me... what if he calls me a freak.. what if he finds out what I did to you.. what if he finds out I'm dating you.. ugh..." Yeji held me, "Ryu.. calm down.. I haven't met your dad so I don't know what he's like but I'm sure he'll still love you.. this.. could also be the time to announce we're dating but.. maybe not because JYP could find out... so let's just keep a low profile." I nodded and hugged her. "Why are you so nice to me, kitten?" She huffed and kissed my cheek, "Stop asking me that.. you know I love you and care for you.. that's why I'm nice.."
