She opened her eyes to see a blurry looking Ron sitting on her left and a hazy Harry on her right. She sat up and rubbed her head. “What? What happened?”

“You’re alright!” She heard as Draco pulled her in for a bone-crushing hug. She nodded.

“Did you get the Stone?” He pushed her away and said, “Yeah. Harry got to meet You-Know-Who, though. Who would’ve expected Q-Q-Quirrell to be his minion?” He grinned, imitating their old DADA teacher.

Lydia jolted up quickly and screamed “What? His minion?”

“Lydia, can you quiet down, you’re giving me a headache!” Moaned Harry.

She jumped out of the hospital bed and towards Harry’s. He had a couple scratches above his eye, though it looked like they hurt. His arm was wrapped and in a sling. Regardless, he was grinning.

He hugged her gently, but she gasped when he accidentally brushed the burn on her arm.

Hermione, who was sitting next to him, winced. “Sorry about that.” “It’s fine.” She moved towards and Hermione hugged her carefully too.

She then walked over to Ron’s bed where Fred and George were sitting watching him. She sat next to Fred and drew the curtains. The others knew enough to give them some privacy.

“Looking better already, malady.” Grinned Fred, cheekily. That was probably not the case, her curly hair was probably a messy frizz and she could feel a healing cut underneath her right eye. She elbowed him with her good arm and then reached down and grasped his hand. To her surprise, he didn’t shy away; he held it back squeezing it a couple times. George smiled at Fred and Lydia, but didn’t object except for a low whistle.

Suddenly, Ron jolted awake at George’s noise and immediately fell back holding his head. He groaned, then said, “I hate chess now.”

Lydia tackled Ron in an embrace and made sure she didn’t hurt his head while he hugged her back. Fred and George patted their brother on the back. They gave him some space as he held his head, but smirked all the same.

“Saving the day is my specialty.” He muttered.

The curtains were yanked open as Hermione, Draco, and Harry came and hugged Ron.

“Listen, Ron, I know you despise chess now, but can you still teach me how to play?” Asked Draco sheepishly. Ron grinned and nodded. “You too, Lydia. Oh, yeah, can you guys come over for the summer? It would be awesome to have you guys.” He said to everybody except his brothers. They all nodded eagerly.

“I’ll say I’m going to that bloke Crabbe’s house or something. Dia, you should come, too.” Lydia grinned widely and said, “That would be brilliant!”

“Well,” a voice said from behind them. They turned to see Dumbledore. “Since you’re all well, could you go back to class?” They all smiled at him and grabbed their robes, wand, and bags. Then, they all left.
