“WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT?!” Asked Draco as soon as she got into the common room. “Nothing!” Lydia lied.

“Sure, Fred was totally just trying to grab the toast from you.” His voice was dripping with sarcasm.

“Fine!” She said, glaring. “We were going to kiss, until you lot showed up!” She could tell her face was bright red.

She sat down on one of the couches and pulled a book up to hide her face, not even caring that it was upside down.

Draco started to say something, but then she heard two familiar sounding boys guffawing in the corner. She turned to see none other than Crabbe and Goyle. They both stood up and trudged to her. “Don’t you have standards?” Jeered Crabbe. “I bet you fantasize about him… His ugly freckles and horrible sense of humor…” Added Goyle.

“Shut up right now!” Yelled Lydia, as she reached for her wand.

“I wouldn’t do that,” Mocked Goyle. “Fred wouldn’t want to see your pretty face ruined, would he?” Crabbe finished.

“You filthy little-“Draco started, but he was cut off by Lydia yelling “Stupefy!” They were both blasted off their feet and smashed into a bookcase ten feet away.

Don’t call him ugly.” Seethed Lydia.

Suddenly, Draco started to laugh.

“What? Blimey… Did I say that out loud?” Lydia said as she face palmed.

“You really fancy him, don’t you?” Asked Draco. Lydia didn’t answer, but that was exactly what told Draco the truth.
