Duyon's POV

We were sitting in the living room of Kei's house. I told him I wanted to talk to him about something important but I first wanted to apologize for pushing him yesterday in his office when he was trying to calm me.

After talking to Ton for a few hours I went straight to his house.

''I'm sorry for pushing you yesterday. I was not in the right state of mind. But that's not an excuse for giving you a bad attitude'' I told Kei when he put the coffee cup in front of me on the table.

''I know, Duyon. You were not in the right state of mind'' He told me before taking a sip from his coffee.

''I am planning to take a month off in order to rest and reflect on my actions. I will give you my title and tasks, I hope you can accept my request'' I said in a calm tone while looking at his worried expression changing into a shocked one.

''Are you serious?! So I will get paid twice the money if, I take your place over until you come back?'' He asked in disbelieve while smiling ear to ear from excitement. I've never known he would be this happy.

''Of course and I will give you also a bonus of 70% for the month you're taking my place'' I said in a serious tone. He immediately stood up when hearing a 70% money raise for the month.

''Are you kidding me?'' He asked in shock while watching my smiling face. ''No, Kei. I only trust you in giving my work over. You know how much I trust you my friend'' I said in a serious tone while smiling at his teary eyes.

''I really needed some extra money, paying for my daughter's chemotherapy. She was diagnosed two months ago with leukemia'' He said in a calm tone while his tears were falling on his cheeks. I was defeated when hearing this news from his mouth.

His wife died five years ago in a car accident. Since then he's a single father with three kids. Two boys and one daughter. He would always talk about their cute stories when they were young.

His youngest baby girl was only seven years old. The middle boy is ten and the oldest boy is thirteen. I can't even imagine how much this family is suffering from the inside.

I stood up and walked to his side before giving him a warm hug. Why do the kind people have to suffer so much? His wife died and now it will be his daughter if he's not going to treat her cancer on time.

''How much is the whole treatment?'' I asked him in a serious tone after breaking the hug and looking at his distressed expression

''$48,000 '' He replied back. That's quite a large sum but we are talking about human life and the cost of that is not something where we shut put an amount on.

''You will go and a bring your daughter, to the hospital tomorrow morning. I will pay for everything including her v.i.p room and stay'' I told him in a serious tone before giving him my black card.

He looked shocked and was frozen on his spot while looking at the black credit card I gave him. I don't know what it was but his legs gave out because the next time I glanced over, he was already on the ground crying. I walked to his side before hugging him again trying to calm him down.

''It's okay. I want to see you happy and don't worry about your schedule. If you need to be with your daughter in the hospital, you need to be there to help her with the difficult time she's in. I will tell the front desk tomorrow you will work less because you need to be by the side of your daughter'' I told him before letting my own tears fall on the ground.
