Adore You (Newt / Tmr)

     The boys got back from the maze. The five grabbing Newt, Gally and Rory. Alby would have been there but he was obviously still struggling with the sting. Newt was holding whatever they found from their adventure, Rory took it off him and inspected it with a sigh as Newt looked over her shoulder. They where in the council house where they had been only a few hours before the whole 'new Glader' thing.

"we found this, it was inside a griever" Thomas stated as the pair looked over the device.

"These are the same letters we get on our supplies" Newt stated, running his thumb over the four letter 'WCKD'

"yeah" Thomas replied "whoever put us here obviously made the grievers. Now this is the first clue, the first anything, you've found in over three years right Rory?"

"True but its not much, all we know is that whoever put us here is also making these strange fucking creatures that are slowly killing us one by one" Rory crossed her arms and leant on the wooden pole.

"We got to go back out there. Who knows where this might lead us" The brunette stated, everyone was silent for a moment taking in the new information. It was overwhelming to say the least.

"you see what he's trying to do right. First he breaks our rules and then he tries to convince us to abandon them totally" Gally exclaimed, facing towards Newt and Rory who where stood extremely close to each other while still examining the device the boys had found "the rules are the only things that have ever held us together why now are we questioning that. If Alby was here you'd know he would agree with me. This shank need to be punished"

Everyone was silent for a moment, trying to make sense of what to do. Everyone gave each other an awkward side eye as if to see who was going to speak next. Rory knew that Thomas would be punished but he didn't know what anyone's plan was for it.

"Your right" Newt finally spoke, giving the device to Minho "Thomas broke the rules. One night in the pit and no food"

"oh come on newt. One night in the pit, do you think that's gonna stop him going into the maze" Gally shouted making Rory jump a little. She hated arguments especially between two people she cared about.

"No. and we cant just have non runners running into the maze whenever they feel like it" Newt spoke, Rory catching up on his sarcastic yells whilst everyone else seemed oblivious.

"so lets just make it official. Starting from tomorrow, you my dear tommy, are a runner" Rory finished, smirking at Newt who nodded his head and discretely high fived the girl.

"wow" Gally scoffed and walked out of the council house. Fry tried to stop him but it evidently didn't work. Everyone else followed leaving Newt, Thomas and Rory in the house alone.

"thanks guys" Thomas spoke so quietly it almost sounded like a whisper. Rory smiled at the boy and newt nodded before turning away. Thomas left and Rory grabbed newts hand turning him to face her.

"i know you feel bad for making Gally angry and i know your scared that Thomas isn't gonna be okay in the maze but i promise you everything will work out perfectly" She smiled, pulling the boys arms around her waist and resting her own arms around his shoulders "think about it, we are one step closer to leaving, to having a normal life. Thomas being a runner might speed up our escape"

"i know its just" Newt sighed "what if we never get out you know. We all just die in here missing out on our entire lives because were stuck in four walls. Even if we do get out, we don't know who we are before this and we don't know anyone beyond the maze"

"we have each other, always" Rory smiled and pulled the boy closer, wrapping her arms tightly around him. He rested his head in the crook of her neck as he tightened his own grip. They knew they had each other, they knew that until the end it will always be Newt and Rory despite everything life throws at them. They stayed in the embrace for a long time, Rory occasionally kissing his cheek and whispering encouraging words.

Their legs hurt from the amount of time they had just been standing and not moving so they eventually pulled apart from each other. The pair both felt cold from the loss of contact so much so Rory almost instantly grabbed his hand and pulled him closer. They walked outside of the council house, everyone still doing there jobs and getting on with the day. She knew Minho took Thomas to the maze room.

She was one of the few people who actually knew about it. A small group had to keep it a secret from everyone else knowing how discouraged they would be. They've explored every inch of the maze yet there was no sign of escape. Newt, Alby, Minho and Rory where the only four who knew. Suddenly a bunch of yelling caught Newt and Rory's attention. They walked up to chuck who was laughing.

"Girls are awesome" He spoke to Thomas, Minho, Jeff and Clint. He pointed toward the watch tower where rocks where getting thrown at the boys below.

"hell yeah we are" Rory confirmed and stated heading over. She may not have trusted the girl but the respect for her rose a little watching her throw rocks. Rory took Newts hand and the pair stood next to Gally, Newt shielding the pair.

"Hey if you throw one more of those things-" Gally was suddenly cut of by a rock hitting his head.

"if this bitch hits me I'm going up there and pushing her off" Rory chuckled and crossed her arms. Winston came over and held a plank over their heads.

"i don't think she likes us very much" Newt added

"it is a bit intimidating waking up with guys surrounding you so i get where she's coming from but i stick by my words" Rory shrugged.

"Hey we just wanna talk" Thomas shouted only to have a rock thrown at him. The girl was shouting things but Rory was more focussed on not bursting into laughter "Hey whoa its Thomas, its Thomas" The rocks suddenly stopped and the girls head poked out from the side. The boy stated he was going up to which she responded by disappearing.

"Oh come on they aren't even scary man" Rory chuckled looking around at the boys who looked more scared of the greenie.

"okay, just me" Thomas stated and climbed the ladder. Gally scoffed and Rory rolled her eyes. Yes she liked the boy but she didn't like the fact he arrived three days ago and was acting like he owned the place. Rory walked away, partially annoyed with Thomas but more to walk off her thoughts and trying to figure out if she was over reacting with the whole new girl situation.
