They did as they've said and 'did it right'. At least what they thought was the best.

They've told their family, their most trusted friends, and, as required, their respective bosses. But most importantly, to each other- that they love one another. Continuously, endlessly reminding their other half of what they are and who they are- one another's.

And now it has been 5 years. 5 years of meeting in hidden parts of different countries; making the most out of endorsements that pit them together; celebrating what they had every chance they got to be with both their families in one place, masked by their long standing friendship.

Now they were in places that were different from where they were. So many changes in so little years, yet one thing remained. Steadfast and true.

5 years and now they were ready.

All their prayers and wishes, echoing the same thing- hoping that the world was ready as well.

So on the 21st of February, 2022, Bambam and Lisa posted a picture. A mere silhouette of them holding hands and overlooking the cityscape of Seoul, their third home. Thailand being second, and each other being their first.

What the world said about them varied but, as much as they loved all their fans, their words were faint and stale compared to the three words they share only to themselves.

They were in Thailand. With many of whom they loved, gathered in one place. They were having a private garden party to celebrate their engagement. But in the midst of the celebration, the jovial and ever so youthful hearts of the two took their chance to escape the festivities.

They discreetly left the venue while a friend, probably Jackson, was slightly yet still drunkenly declaring that he should be thanked for their relationship. While another was saying they knew all along, probably Baby -not that it matters since everyone else seem to have thought the same thing. They tiptoed as they ran, tiny traces of laughter being the only hint of their flight.

Bambam was holding unto Lisa's hand, pulling her towards the space where the cars were parked.

"Bam, where are we even going to go?" Lisa giggled as he helped her up a scooter, which may belong to either one of his brothers or cousins. "We can't leave the party. And we can't steal this scooter!" she exclaimed without much conviction.

"It's just for a while, love." He kissed the top of her head before putting a helmet on it. "And it won't be missed." He swung his leg over the seat and started the engine.

"But we will be!" she playfully slapped his shoulder but he just pulled it and her other hand around his waist. "At least, I know I will be."

She was baiting him, but he didn't bite. It used to be so easy getting under his skin and driving him nuts. It was kind of bittersweet, really. Well, in a way she still did, just a little differently. She felt a blush creeping up her cheeks. She definitely liked this way better.

He merely smiled that boyish smile of his and looked back. "Oh, I know I will miss you." He winked at her.

She rolled her eyes, a grin still plastered on her face, unable to let it go. "How in the world does that even work, Bam?"

"Oh, but my dear Lalice, I always miss you. When we're in the same room, I miss your touch. Even when you here right next to me, I miss your kisses. And when you're kissing me I miss your-"

"Bambam!" she shouted. If she felt like she was about to blush a while ago, she was definitely fiery red now.

He didn't hear it. Or he did and simply pretended that there was no warning laced in her scandalized squeal. He continued to list the absurd ways of how he missed her, almost drowned out by the wind that strongly breezed past them joined with her laughter. Almost.

And as they stood at their very own terraced haven, hidden along a mountainside much like their old one, they watched the night sky twinkle, reminding them of the many and colorful kinds of love they shared. Love grander than any stage and brighter than any spotlight.

A lifetime of friendship; an eternity of devotion; and forever to whisper the words 'I love you'.
