It was the end.

At least it was the end of the season, and in its typical fashion, the week's theme stuck loyally to that notion.

"The End."

The words were repeated over and over again as Heechul announced the last episodes and the contestants' last stages.

Lisa's heart was pounding as she watched his stage. Bambam. They were now allowed to watch one another's performances and she was grateful and even more nervous because of the decision.

The lights were dimmed but when the spotlight started to show him sitting in the middle of the stage, the tune slowly became louder. She shook her head when she recognized the song. It was 'From now on' of 'The Greatest Showman'. Of all the songs he chose this for 'The End'.

"I saw the sun begin to dim
And felt that winter wind blow cold
A man learns who is there for him
When the glitter fades and the walls won't hold"

He sat there, gracefully but heavily drinking back glass after glass, his shoulders turning weary until he stumbles forward.

"'Cause from then, rubble
What remains
Can only be what's true
If all was lost
There's more I gained
'Cause it led me back
To you"

Two dancers caught him and threw him back. He spun until a pair of hands caught his, they stared at each other's eyes and dance away.

"From now on
These eyes will not be blinded by the lights
From now on
What's waited 'til tomorrow starts tonight
Tonight"

A number of lights turned on around them, but they merely danced in circles. The lights that fenced them illuminating the couple. People gathered around them, they danced along side them, with them, filled with laughter and cheers expressed through their cheerful and carefree movements. Up until the very end. Together they said goodbye as their journey ended and welcomed a new beginning.

"...And we will come back home
Home, again!"

After so long, they were finally home.

After the performance, Lisa clapped and smiled to herself, remembering that night.

There they were again: Looking over the flickering lights of Seoul, side by side, their source of warmth being each other. They stood there, leaning on the cool railings, and letting the breeze fill the silence.

It wasn't stifling, the silence that is. It hasn't been for a while. It was the kind of silence where one another's presence was loud enough to fill it. Lisa smiled at that.

"Why are you smiling?" Bambam asked.

She side-glanced at him for the tiniest bit, not moving her head. There were no jokes passed between them, no banter exchanged since they got here. But he was smiling. He had laughter in his eyes, not in a teasing kind of way...just- just happy. And he was looking at her.

"I just feel like it." She waited for him to ask more, to probe the way he usually does when Lisa refuses to tell him something outright. But he didn't. They just stood there, embraced by peaceful silence. Slightly swaying along with the wind. Almost touching, but not quite. And yet, she felt every movement, the heat coming from his skin despite all the fabric and space between them. His sighs brought a shiver to her skin, accompanied by the wind that made music out of their duet of breaths.

After a few minutes he spoke again, "Someday, it will be our last day here."

She looked at him, surprised by the melancholic thought that Bambam voiced.
