HE STOOD FACING Fury with a deadpan expression. "You didn't tell me that you were the director of a secret organization." Fury sighed, seemingly expecting this.
"It was a secret."

7 MONTHS AGO
"Why do you have a sword?" A man in a cloak with an eyepatch appeared in front of him. Percy had just finished up a monster in an alleyway and before he could recap Riptide a man came.
"This isn't a sword. It's a baseball bat and I just came back from baseball practice." Percy said and snapped his fingers in hopes of manipulating the mist.
The stranger looked at him with a 'really?' expression. Percy sighed, usually, he didn't get caught because people didn't notice a kid going into an alleyway with a snake woman.
"Okay, fine." He gave a defeated sigh.
They sat down on the park bench. "So, I'm assuming you have questions," Percy said. "Just a few." He replied. "First off, who are you?" Although, Fury already knew that but Perseus didn't need to know that. "I'm Percy. What about you?" He asked with a small smile.
"I'm Nicholas." He said. Percy wanted to say that it didn't sound like his name but his name was Perseus so, who was he to talk.
"Have you always been able to see kids with swords and stuff?" Percy asked him. "Pretty much, yeah." Fury replied.
"Well, I suppose I should tell you that you aren't crazy." Percy sighed. How many times is he gonna have to tell mortals that they're clear-sighted?"
"Okay and...?" Fury prompted him to speak. "Don't freak out and what I'm going to tell you is something you can't tell anybody." Percy gave him a reassuring smile.
"You know, the Greek gods?" He asked, Fury just nodded silently. "Well...they're still alive. And along with them are monsters. And just like back then they have affairs with humans." He said. "And?" Fury asked him.
Percy looked at the watch on his wrist and sighed, "I'm sorry. I'm gonna have to go or I'll be late. Maybe we'll talk again some other day. You could just come here around this time and I'll be here." He winked and held up two finger guns.
And that was the first of many meetings where Percy explained everything to someone he believed to be just a clear-sighted and confused mortal. And he couldn't have been more wrong.

Percy woke up in a bed and a seemingly empty room."Good to see you're awake." Fury said coming out of the dark corner. "Do you always have to be this dramatic?" Percy said his voice very low and his eyes half-opened.
