IT WAS MORNING AND PERCY was ready to tackle the issues that were going to brought up. He was once again at the lab with Tony and Bruce, much like yesterday. Both of the men had stopped working and had opted to reading up on SHIELD's deepest secrets. That was when Fury walked, surprised to see that his team wasn't working on what he had told them to. "What are you doing, Mr. Stark." His tone was strained but the anger was still present.
"Uh... Kinda been wondering the same thing about you." Tony replied with his brows furrowed. "You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract." Fury said, absolutely livid. "We are. Model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile." Bruce said, pushing his glasses up his nose. "You'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss." Tony said.
Suddenly the screen in front of Tony displayed a collection of secret files. Percy moved closer to get a good look and focused on the heading, which stated 'PHASE 2'. He looked at suspiciously and turned towards Fury, "What's Phase 2?" Before Fury can answer, Steve slams, what looks to be like the blueprints on the screen or labeled as a Hydra Assault Rifle. "Phase 2 is SHIELD uses the cube to make weapons." He looks over at Fury, his expression livid. Next, he turns to Tony, "Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow for me."
Nick, who looked baffled began stuttering, "Roger, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. That doesn't mean that we're..." he was cut off by Tony, "I'm sorry." He began, motioning towards the screen that showed the exact record of the plans that Fury was denying the existence of. "What were you lying?" Tony gave him a smug look and challenging look in his eyes. At that moment Thor and Natasha walk in, Percy moved himself behind the counter.
Bruce moved his gaze from Fury to Natasha, his eyes no longer the honey brown they were, now they carried a dangerous glint in them. "Did you know about this?" He questioned, still glaring at her. "You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?" She asked, completely unphased by his question. "I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed." He sighed.
"Loki's manipulating you." She said, hotly. "And you've been doing what exactly?" He replied calmly but you could hear the strain in his voice. "You didn't come here because I batted my eyelashes at you." As their eyes clashed, all the others did was stay silent. "Yes, I'm not leaving because you get a little twitchy. I'd like to known why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction." He said, looking towards the screen. "Because of him." Fury said, pointing towards Thor. Thor looked stunned at such accusations, "Me?" He asked.
"Last year Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we alone but we are also hopelessly, hilariously outgunned." Fury snarled. "My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor said, his voice rumbling. "But you're not the only people out there, are you? And you're not the only threat. The world's filing up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled." Fury glared at him which phased them, except Percy, a little.
