Falling For You

Chapter 2

The sun is shining and the sky is clear. The birds sing happily. In a Troll village in the big troll kingdom the trolls are buzzing with singing, dancing and good vibes.

A male Pop troll who is a Vampire Hunter,Poppy Kendrick, walks through the market. He has hot pink hair,light pink skin,glitter freckles,hot pink nose and eyes and round ears like all the other Pop trolls. He is wearing a black hat, black cape,black pants, dark blue shirt and a black weapons belt holding up his pants with a wooden stake and an dagger strapped in.

Poppy smiles as he walks through the crowd. The trolls of all kinds smile and wave at him every now and then. Vampire Hunter is a hero to them for protecting them from vampires and taking down many vampires. The troll hero exits the market. Soon the pink troll reaches the Vampire Hunters Organization,"The Strings", headquarters. Poppy is part of The Strings like the many other Vampire Hunters. The headquarters is a mushroom that has a red top with white dots. The mushroom's stem is white with a door and two round windows craved out and put in. Under the Mushroom floor is an small secret bunker. The mushroom is just the opening room for trolls to come in and report on vampires.

The organization has the hunters in teams to take down vampires. They train during the day,make plans to take down vampires,go on patrols, go on missions and hunt down Vampires. The teams take shifts to go on hunts and patrols.

Poppy enters the mushroom. The room is designed to look comforting to other trolls. There are comfortable chairs ,an table with some snacks, an desk with papers and a pens and the lift into the bunker. An female glitter troll sits at behind the desk.

"Hi Poppy.", she greets.

" Hi Jessie.", Poppy greets happily.

Poppy gets on the lift then pulls the lever towards himself. The lift goes down into the bunker. As Poppy disappeared from view the hole in the floor is replaced with a piece of wood which slides in. The hunter reaches the bottom floor then walks to the other hunters. The many other hunters are around a large table in the middle of the room. There are candles lighting up the whole room. Poppy takes off his hat then joins his fellow Vampire Hunters. They all talk as they wait for their leader to come and start the meeting.

Within a minute their leader,Peppy Kendrick, enters the room from a different room at the left side with her walking cane and a rolled up map. Poppy notices his mother walking to the table. Peppy is a Pop troll and has orange skin,hot pink hair with grey strands,yellow nose and orange eyes. She is fat and her hair is a little wild. The old woman is wearing a dull green dress that's blue in the middle and dull brown at the bottom and a black cloak.

Peppy has been in charge of the Strings for many years. She had took over the Strings after her late husband, Joyce, died after he was attacked by a vampire to honour Joyce, protect Poppy and save others from suffering the same death as her husband. Peppy's great- great - great grandfather and grandmother had created the organization. Peppy does not fully know what happened but, she knows a blood sucking vampire killed him when she found his body.

Peppy unrolls the old map then puts it on the table next to a few candles. The map showed the forest. The map edges are a little torn.

"Okay,now that everyone is here the meeting can start. We have been getting more vampire sightings and a few attacks. It seems the Vampire Queen has been walking and flying around in the forest a lot recently. There are few other vampires moving around as well but, mostly the Queen has been seen. We all know how powerful royals are and plus they have power over all vampires so if we get the Queen the vampire kingdom will be weak and on it's own! ", Peppy says seriously.

A random hunter looks at the leader.

" But, Peppy we have trouble fighting against her even in a group...",the hunter says.

Peppy looks him.

"Yes but; if we find out what are her weaknesses,daily routines,habits and other kinds of information on her we can use that against her. That's why I want to a sign one of you to temporarily be a turned vampire, get into the Vampire Kingdom and get close to the Vampire Queen. As a spy, one of you will be undercover for a long time to get more information. The spy will have to live with the vampires without killing any of them. You'll have to get very close to her so if anyone chooses to do this you have to keep the mission in mind,keep a log,send letters back here in secret and make sure you don't get caught because, anything could happen...", Peppy explains seriously.

All the hunters are shocked that Peppy wanted to have this happen. Most of them think that putting a Vampire Hunter in the home of vampires for long could be a bad idea but,the same time helpful and a little good. This plan has both pro's and cons but, is the end result really worth it? Poppy thinks over everything his mother had said. Poppy does not think a lot about what could happen if he gets caught but, he does include it. Poppy believes that if the plan works then he and the other vampire hunters could not have vampires as a threat to troll kind any more. Poppy can see the bright side of the plan clearer than the other hunters. He was of the most brave hunters but, he is also a little reckless and is carefree. That got him in trouble before a few times but, he usually manages to get out of it.

"Who wants to take the job as our spy?", Peppy asks seriously.

The room becomes quiet but then Poppy raises his hand.

" I'll do it.", Poppy volunteers.

Peppy looks at Poppy shocked. The other hunters look at him too. They didn't want to do the mission but, they are not sure that Poppy realizes what he is getting himself into.

"Poppy, are you sure about this? Once you start the mission there is no going back!", Peppy says worried and serious.

Poppy is Peppy's only child so of course she will be concerned. She would be worried if someone else went for it but, Poppy doing this will make her more worried. Peppy does not want lose Poppy! He is one of the most important trolls in her life.

"I'm sure about this! I can do this.", Poppy say positively and confidently.

Peppy let's out an breath she didn't know she was holding. She didn't really want to do this but,she trusts and believes in Poppy!

" Okay, Poppy...From now on you will be our eyes and ears in vampire territory! ",Peppy says seriously.
