Chapter 42

The event is going start in twenty minutes. Queen Branch and Poppy are in the room where the selling to raise money will take place. There are vampires working and getting the items ready with care. The room is large with white walls just like the rest of the gallery, the same flooring,black ceiling,a short wooden stage with stand and a table, many rows of chair are sitting in front of the makeshift stage with a reasonable sized gap between them,paintings and sketches on the wall and fairy lights brighten up the whole room. A few vampires put some of the items up for sell on the other table next to the stage.

Poppy looks at one of the amazing sketches in golden frame. It is of male vampire head and is so detailed that it's realistic! Then the spy looks at signature that has been written on all of the sketches and paintings. It's "Angelina Amethyst".  He wonders who is this amazing artist.

Suddenly that very artist sees Branch helping out like she promised. Angelina is wearing a pink gochi dress made of satin with a sweetheart neckline,silver jewel belt, thin straps and long skirt. She is also wearing little silver heart earrings,glittery lip gloss and pink flats. Her hair is going down her back in an simple braid. Angelina has an big and framed painting in her hands. She quickly gives to one of the vampires working then moves over the Queen who is not too far from Poppy.

" Branch! I'm so glad you made it. ",Angelina says happily.

Branch a small smile appears on the Queen's face. She had came here partly by her own choice and also it is part of her duties. Grandpa was willing to come here in her place but, she had told him to relax and stay home. He should enjoy his retirement. Poppy turns his head and sees Angelina and Branch.

" Angelina. I did promise you I would come and help out. Where's your master pieces that are for sell? They should raise half of the goal amount. ", Branch says calmly and glad.

" Oh,they are being checked and displayed. That one I did of you recently should make the most money. It's the only and first one of my collection that I painted of you. ",Angelina says honestly.

Branch is glad to hear about the paintings. Every item can help them raise money for the Arts program. Angelina has been helping the program for a few years now. This is the first time the Royal family is supporting it.

" Looks like my Grandpa was right about it. ", Branch comments honestly.

Poppy steps over to them happily. He stops by Branch's side with a smile on his face. Angelina notices the male vampire but,doesn't recognize him at all. She never met Poppy before.

" Hi! ",Poppy greets innocently and happily.

" Branch,did you bring a date? ",Angelina asks curious and confused.

Branch looks at Poppy then back at Angelina. She did have feeling earlier that some might think Poppy is one of her suitors. Everyone in Vampdom knows she has so many suitors.

" No,we just came here together like friends. ", Poppy explains honestly.

Branch turns to Poppy and puts her hands on her hips. She didn't say they became friends yet. It looks like she is going to have remind him. Poppy notices that she is looking at him so he turns to her.

" We didn't become friends yet. ", Branch states.

" Then I can still make you my friend. ",Poppy says positively.

Branch just rolls her eyes at him as Angelina chuckles amused. Branch and the vampire unknown to her are acting kind of cute. Then Branch turns to Angelina and starts introducing Poppy and Angelina to each other.

" Poppy, this is Angelina Amethyst. Angelina, this is Poppy Kendrick. He is a recently turned vampire. I rescued him from the Slayers. ",Branch introduces honestly.

" It's nice to meet you,Poppy. ",Angelina says politely.

Poppy recognized her name from one on the sketches and paintings. She must be the talented artist. An innocent and friendly smile is on his face.

" Your the artist who did all the amazing art. It's nice to meet you too. ", Poppy says happily.

" Yes,I am and thanks. I work really hard on them. Would you like to see the painting I did of Branch? Only a few vampires seen it. ",Angelina says happily and honestly.

The artist finds Poppy likable and has a feeling that Poppy would like to see it. Why not show him? He does seem to have some interest in the Queen. The turned vampire's eyes light up with interest and ears perk at the mention of the painting.

" That would be great.",Poppy says honestly and excited.

Branch looks at Poppy a little surprised by his excitement. The former troll has his complete interest in the painting written all over his face. Angelina takes the Queen and turned vampire over to where the painting should be.

The painting is sitting on an painting stand with an black fabric covering it. The stand is by the table of items for sell. The artist slowly takes the fabric off revealing Queen Branch sitting on her throne. She has her legs crossed and her hands placed on her knee. In the painting she is wearing a simple green dress with thin black lining on the sweetheart neckline and thick black lining around the waist and the skirt is long and is a little puffy and a black cape. On her head sits a golden crown with black gems. Branch's bangs are brushed aside.

Branch looks beautiful in the painting and Poppy is awe by her beauty once again. Not a single detail looked off. The painting is a perfect likeness to the Vampire Queen. A goofy smile appears on the former troll's face but, it goes unnoticed by Branch. Angelina on the other hand notices what Poppy is doing.

" Wow! Really beautiful. ",Poppy comments in awe while not taking his eyes off the painting.

Angelina quietly smirks at how Poppy is acting. It seems like the spy isn't just referring to painting and the style to her. Branch on the other hand thinks he is only referring to the painting's details and style. She looks t the painting of herself. In her mind she is thinking that Angelina must had did touch ups to make her look pretty.

" Angelina is an talented painter after all. On praises her art a lot and was the one who suggested that I have her paint me. She wasn't wrong. ",Branch says honestly.

" You two enjoy it. The event will start in a few minutes. ",Angelina says softly and happily.

Then the artist walks away giving them alone time. She wonders a little whether Poppy might fall in love with Branch or already is falling for her... Angelina isn't sure but, it seems to her something might be growing in Poppy.
