2| As a therapist

Naina's POV

Out of no where Mumma got a call from Nandini Gupta the mom of well known businessman Ridhhant Gupta, best friend of CEO of Kapoor enterprises.

She said she wants me to work as his MAID. Like did I just complete MBA just to work as a maid?

But she then added that as a personal assistant too.

She said she would discuss the other things later.

So today she asked me to meet her at a café early in the morning so here I am waiting for her at 6 am.

I was nonchalantly looking the interiors of the cafe when someone tapped my shoulders and I turned around to meet Nandini Gupta. She is one Jovial looking woman with a smile painted on her face.

I got up and tried to touch her feets but she stopped me staying, "It's 21st century beta let's have a hug." Well that's true but God knows why I felt a sense of huge respect for her. And I couldn't resist the urge of touching her feet.

She is giving me a job so it's obvious..isn't it?

"Yes ma'am, please sit down."

She sat down and started, "So I'm here to talk about my son Ridhhant." And let out a tired sign.

"He isn't what the world thinks of him, He is lonely Naina. He got a bad past which will be better if he himself told you, the thing you should know is...he is afraid of having maids. He would go to office, to Atharva but now he is busy with Amaya so all he does is work. Comes home at even 3 and not eat anything. That's what I'm scared of. I don't know how he is mentally. He needs friends but I don't know where it goes wrong..he got friends but that don't know his past which makes it all different.

His personal assistant who was working with him since two years betrayed him and now he got a new PA who isn't that good...so you'll be living with him in his penthouse as both as caretaker you can say, personal assistant and...much like friend therapist." She ended and my head was in a whirl.

"Don't think what works you have to do or how. You are his friend and PA. SIMPLE.

The thing world isn't getting is he got jokes in his talk but that doesn't mean his life is a joke too." She said with teary eyes.

"Uh ma'am it will be just him and me alone?" I asked nervously not wanting to stay with a man alone.

"Don't worry he is a good man. Men don't disrespect women, I'm sure he wouldn't do anything."

"And the interview to become PA?"

"Ah no worries there, you're hired l I saw your résumé on the internet so don't worry." She stated as if it's a light topic. I'm becoming the PA of the co-founder of one of the biggest enterprises for god's sake.

"Hey don't worry he will help you and yes first you'll go to his office and have your introduction there so that he doesn't freak out seeing you in his house." She said with a assuring smile and I nodded returning the smile.

"The moment he sees you in the house he might act a little rude-" okay I'm ready  "-but don't leave him please?" She said more like asked.

I gave her a polite smile and a nod because I didn't know what to say.

I'm right now in my cabin which the secretary helped me find out and assisting with how he likes his work done.

"Don't worry, he isn't like the CEO..he is really a happy and childish person." The secretory said and I smiled, "Thank you so much for your guidance."

I went to the office café, made a cup of tea..this person drinks tea instead of coffee..he is one desi person.

I internally giggled on that and went inside and put the cup on his table and was checking the papers when the door opened and he entered in all his glory wearing a blue suit. He is..he is a mixture of cute and sexy how? Don't ask me, he just is.

"Good morning sir." I said in a straight tone and he replied a joyful 'Morning'.

"Here's your schedule for todays meetings sir." I handed him the folders, he took it while sipping his tea and putting the cup back.

"Thank you and I assume you are my new assistant as well as..caretaker?" He looked puzzled for what to say for caretaker sounds so weird and maid is..ewww.

I mean not the job of maids but me working as one.

"As a therapist, as your mom said and yes a personal assistant." I said with a smile.

"Name?" Oh he doesn't even know my name?

"Naina Raj." I said with a smile, he gave it back and said "Oh.. beautiful just like your Naina." (Naina means eyes in Hindi)

I feel my cheeks heating up slightly on that as I looked anywhere but him but I instead gave a smile and say, "Thank you so much sir."

He smiles and says me to get back to work. As a online book reader fan I expected him to be rude but he is the very opposite. It would be so great if the boss was rude and especially opens up with you and is only funny for you but here I am dreaming of fairytales in this reality.

I roll eyes on myself and get to work.

Ridhhant's POV

Naina.

She is beautiful and I wasn't kidding when I said that her eyes are beautiful.

It's 9 pm I didn't know how fast time passed so I closed up my work for today and got out of my office and was surprised to see Naina still working there. "Naina?" I called and she looked up and then give a smile and stood up. Whoa That rhymed.

"Yes sir." She said. "Why are you still working? Weren't all the employees meant to go till 8?" I asked and she shakes her head, "Nandini ma'am said me to go home with you." I rolled my eyes on that..why would Maa do that?

"Ok fine chalo it's very late now. Come we will go together." Damn did that sound romantic.

I glanced at her and she was looking anywhere but me and that crimson tint on her cheeks didn't go unnoticed.  Hehe.

She got up and we walked down together. I still don't like the idea to have someone at my house at nights. The moments of nightmares.

it's my second novella so y'know sorry if it sounds very...uhmmm unprofessional? Knowing the fact first one isn't going very well too.
