Ridh's POV.
Don't freak out. Man up, Ridh. Don't freak out.
"Hey are you uhm okay?" she asks and I nod opening the door to my apartment.
We enter and I run to my room.
I swiftly freshen up and sit on my bed. Does she have her own room? Of course she does. But which one?
I sit there for like fifteen minutes overthinking about her. But then I can't hide forever.
I stand up and move out. Descending the stairs I stop in my tracks. There she is, well gotta admit, she is really beautiful.
I walk further down and she turns around hearing my footsteps. "Good evening sir." she smiles.
I just nod deep in my thoughts.
I see her smile falter. Like their used to be and whenever their smile faltered, they were angered. and anger came with violence.
my heart starts to pound. it's fine. it's fine.
"Dinner?" a voice jerks me out of my affirmations. "Uhm—" I cough and clear my throat,"—Ye..yeah."
such a pussy.
"It will be ready in some time. By the way what do you like to eat for breakfast?" stop talking. I don't want to talk.
"Anything," I mumble and plop down on the sofa. I watch her cook, her hands grasping the spatula or picking up the utensils.
Do I want to help? yes.
Will I? no.I'm not fucking going near her anytime soon, at least when we are alone.
I just sit there watching her, too afraid to disturb her.
"It's done!" she acknowledges. Her voice is too cheerful to belong to this apartment.
I hum in response, and she starts to arrange the table."I'll eat in my room." I say and stand up, without leaving for her to say anything I take my plate and move away.
I sign sitting down on my bed and eating. Eventually having to do with the usual crap I start working until my eyes were tired but I still didn't want to sleep.
So I got up and went to our terrace to meet the gust of wind on my head and the palm trees below. I smiled.
This is my escape, it always has been.

"Fuckish fuckery fuck," I grumble turning off the alarm angrily getting up. Quickly getting ready because I have to be there when Atharva fires his interns like a mad bull.
I freshen up and open the door, walking down I see a woman- a woman? wait. A woman.
My brain just glitched until I realised who was that woman. damn, she is punctual, unlike me which is really impressive.
"Good morning sir," she said with a smile and I tried to give pass back a smile like hers, original and happy.
"Hey!" I hate this cheerfulness in my own damn voice that too so early in the morning.
"Can you- can you please get off the car a few blocks before we reach the office, I don't want people to see us together." I said and she hesitantly nodded.
we got out together and as I said, reached our office separately.

I was working. Naina had just given me some reports of the recent happenings when the door opens again.
"Sir?" I look up and see Naina. "Yeah?" I say and pass a smile.
"Uhm Nandini ma'am wanted to make sure you eat on time so a gentle reminder," she said and that's when I realised why she meant youthsitter. huh.
I glanced at my watch and it was really the time for lunch. I was about to thank her when someone literally burst open my office door.
and I knew it can either be Atharva or Amaya bhabhi.
"Ridhhant!" A overly cheerful bhabhi greeted and me and I returned her an equally happy grin.
"Hey bhabhi!" I stood up. Before she could say anything to me, her gaze fell upon and Naina and what she said next felt like I was evaporating.
"Is she some fuck buddy?"
