Thomas's POV:
I woke up to this weird sound of an elevator moving upwards. I tried to open my eyes but my eyelids were really heavy. It felt like I'd been drugged but that couldn't be the case. Why would anyone wanna drug me? Certainly, my parents wouldn't. I finally managed to open my eyes, kinda in shock.
Who were my parents? Who were I? I couldn't remember anything. Why were I even in an elevator? Nothing made sense and I felt myself starting to panic.
Newt's POV:
The alarm sounded, another newbie was about to arrive. Nothing special, it happened every month. The only question was: who was it gonna be this time? Everyone was gathering around the Box, so I decided to go too, it's what I was supposed to do anyway, considering I'm second in command. I had to welcome our newbie. The poor guy was gonna be really confused. There was no time to feel sorry for him though. He had to get over it eventually, like we all had.
Thomas's POV:
It was starting to get less dark. I couldn't wait to see light again as I wanted to get some answers and the dark was driving me insane. The elevator was slowing down and I could see the vague silhouettes of people standing only a few feet above me. I was approaching them and wondered what they were gonna do. Were they my enemies? The elevator came to a stop with a huge shock. I fell over as someone tried to grab my hand. I didn't trust any of these people.
"You can trust me", a blonde boy said. "We're all in this together, we've all come up in that elevator."
I decided to take his hand and trust him. If they wanted to kill me, they'd find a way anyway.
"Hi, I'm Newt.", said the blonde boy as he shook my hand.
"I'm Thomas. What's this place? Why can't I remember anything? Who sent me up here?" Newt looked at me, annoyed, he shook his head and ignored mu questions.
"Hey, give me some answers!!!" I was getting frustrated and annoyed as well.
"Listen", Newt said, "you'll find out soon enough." I nodded, even though I was unsatisfied with the answer Newt had just given me.
"C'mon, I'll show you around." A dark skinned boy said. I followed the boy, hoping to get a better answer to my questions. The blonde boy was still on my mind, he seemed nice, even though he didn't want to answer my questions. I was probably gonna need a friend anyway.
Newt's POV:
I don't know what it is but I can't stop thinking about the newbie. He seemed, well... different. Something told me things were going to change. Thomas had triggered something in my mind and I wish I was in charge, so I could show him around and get to know him. I looked at Alby showing Thomas around. He looked confused and kinda sad.
