Chapter 21

Dacia

I was drowning too deep in my dream where I could remember the place where I came from. It was totally dark and the raging light coming from the fire was everywhere. Screaming voices echoed throughout the place as the blood splattered all over the moist ground. Everywhere was full of terror and those bodies lying in front of me were the bodies of my parents. They were covered in blood as their bodies were being ripped apart. I wanted to scream and run away from this nightmare that kept hunting me until a wolf noticed my quivering state. I tried my best to get away from it but its claw managed to scratch my stomach. It was too painful and I knew that I was dying but someone killed it before my eyes.

"You're safe. Rin, help her."

I might be losing my senses back then but as I heard that familiar voice inside my dream the scene began to shift.

"Celestial Ceres don't you dare turn her."

"Then who? She's dying, Rean."

"I will."

"Are you sure, Rin?"

"She needs it."

I remember that time that I was in the room and I could hear them arguing about turning me into one of them. The next day I woke up as a vampire and I am part of their family, the Aspire clan. The heads of the clan took care of me as if I was pure blooded like them since I was turned by one of them and those who were low ranking vampires, didn't like it one bit. Whenever the heads of the clan weren't looking, I was mistreated and three granddaughters didn't like it since they could see those unhealed bruises from being punching bags of those low ranking vampires. Those three were protective of me, especially the one who turned me and the one who saved me from those wolves. But since Serina, my maker and Rean, the clan's doctor wasn't around, Celestial Ceres was the one who I am always with. She teaches me how to fight and how to use my senses as a vampire to hunt my prey. But one night, things drastically changed in her, she fell into a rogue and exiled in the vampire realm. Then my doom came back and it became worse. Serina and Rean noticed my sudden gloom which they knew already that it came back and they couldn't find the culprit from harming me. They were devastated since they couldn't kill everyone like Celestial Ceres did and the only thing they could do was to heal my wounds as they kept my temper at bay.

All of the scenes in this dream haunted me now. I cried as I kept running as fast I could and I wanted revenge. I wanted to kill those vampires who mistreated me. I need blood and it looks like I found one. Shit! Why does she have to be in my way?!

Zoi Thanatos

The palace was crowded with vampire units of each clan that answered our call. All of them are busy, even my Mom. Me and my mate were led to the room to rest but I have this urge to go and find Dacia.

"I need to go." I mumbled in the low voice to Mageia.

"Why?" Mageia curiously asked.

"I need to help her and the mark has to be removed" I answered as I took a seat on the bed.

"Do you know how to remove it?" She carefully asked as she also took a seat beside me on the bed.

"No but I need to do something..." I only managed to say to her since I'm also thinking what I should do and I don't think Mageia would like being left behind.

"Okay, but how do you exactly gonna pass the guards then?" Mageia cautiously asked but I knew she was worried about me doing that. She really does care about me that much. Lovely.

"I know how but you can't come." I honestly told her as I held her hands since I knew she wouldn't like that idea.

"What did you just say? Are you leaving me out?" She sounded pissed and saw what I meant.

"Yes, I mean no...argh, fine, come with me." I had no choice but to let her come or else she will turn me into crispy roasted chicken. I know she gained more power than she used to and maybe she can help me out with Dacia's situation.

Luckily, I found the secret door in the room, well in every part of the palace has a trap door. We both sneak out through the walls and observe what's happening at their meeting. I wanted to know the whole situation also about Dacia's location by now.

"Hey babe, can you cast a spell to see through the walls?" I whispered in much lower voice

"Of course." She replied in her low voice then she swung her right hand and the brick wall became a glass window where we can see and hear what they're up to.

"We found her location, my queen" One of the guards reported to my Mom.

"Good. Is there any Aspire clan hear our call?" Mom was so serious as she asked one of her assistants.

"Yes my queen, there are three." Mom's assistant replied to her which I wonder who it could be.

"And who might be it? I wish it was her cousins. I hate the others." Obviously Mom didn't trust everyone in the Aspire but who are they that my Mom trusts.

"It's the princesses of the Aspire itself. Rean, Serina and Celestial Ceres, my queen and Celestial Ceres says that she's on her way and will be there in three." The assistant informed Mom then bowed before leaving since Mom stood up from her seat.

"Gather the first platoon and let's go." Mom ordered the guards and they began to march away in flash.

"Let's follow them." I told my mate as I took her hand with me since we have to get out from the trap door.

I instantly carried my mate into my arms like a bride before dashing off and followed my Mom. I knew my mate loved the way I carried her since she's holding me closer and she was blushing. But that short sweet moment we had suddenly vanished when we stopped into a familiar house. I was shocked since we're at Ann's house. I let down Mageia since we're already hiding behind the trees. My mom let the guards watch over and let every witness to fall asleep even those who walk by past at night. We watched carefully until we all heard a sudden squeal then I saw someone jump out of the window. It was Dacia holding Ann tightly in her arms. Of all the people why it has to be Ann and her thirst for Ann's blood? All the questions pop out of my head since I am not sure what was happening around Dacia.

"Baby, let's go help them." Mageia woke me up from my thoughts and I agreed with her then we both jumped out from our hiding place to aid my Mom.

My mom was shocked but immediately turned back on being serious. Then another vampire group came into the scene, the Aspire clan.

"Get ready for both of you." Mom informed the two of us.

"Mageia can you hold or cast something to stop Dacia from running away?" Mom seriously asked my mate which she wasn't sure if she could make some.

"I'll try." Mageia answered while her focus set on making Dacia stop from moving for a moment.

"You better be and you..." She assured my mate before turning to me which made me gulp all of the sudden. She was totally serious.

"I need you to take Ann out of Dacia hands and be prepared that she will hunt you after you get her away from her." Mom explained what I should be doing and it was a totally risky one. I wonder if she wants me dead or to survive being a hunted prey.

The confusion might have been visible over my face since my Mom just rolled her eyes and ignored me. I'm definitely going to die aren't I?

Anyway, the Aspire knights circle around Dacia, taunting her which made her mad even more then Mageia immediately casted a spell to make her stop moving. Then here I go; I took Ann as quickly as shadow in the night and ran as fast as a vampire on the run. I took a glance for one last time at Dacia and she broke out from my mate's spell and began to rampage from losing Ann in her arms. Then the hunt begins.

Oh man, I hope I survive this hunting game that Mom planned.
