Chapter 18

Zoi Thanatos

Looking for my mate as I stepped inside the school ground but there was no trace of her around. I was upset from not seeing my mate around which also made my wolf sad until I bumped onto that girl again. Bumping into her really made my morning totally suck not until I saw Ann in the cafeteria who tried to avoid me.

"Ann, wait up! Talk to me." I stopped her before she could leave.

"Then why cheating with my friend?" She asked bluntly at me with her straight face which I could definitely tell that she's pissed.

"I did not. First of all, I didn't know or even heard it before." I honestly told her which was the truth.

"You didn't, huh...then how about your wolf say or that other thing lies in you?" She totally didn't believe me, which I understand the reason why she's one of my girl's BFFs.

"None. Even that other side of me. You know as well that I can't control that side of me." I made it clear to her that she just huffled.

"Fine, I just can't get over what happened at the infirmary." As she said that with a sigh, she went to the nearest table that we could occupy since we're in the cafeteria.

"I know what you mean. I was too confused about what just happened back there and that new girl proclaimed to be my mate. Speaking of mates, did you find any boy or girl to date?" I released some heavy sigh as I recall some event from that incident before changing the subject.

"Changing that subject aren't we? But for the note, there's none though I tried some dating apps but still no luck at all. Maybe it wasn't for me." Ann sarcastically noticed that sudden change of the topic but still she answered it. How considerate of her.

"Honestly, I just want to avoid that leech girl and if she comes over to me again, I must have a plan." I told Ann while my mind drifted on what I should do to get rid of that Dacia girl even for a distance until something came up into my mind. I was about to tell Ann what's my plan when that leech aka Dacia showed up in the cafeteria. She even went to our table. Gosh, what an obvious stalker.

But I ignored my side comment for a while since I have to make my plan go already and put her into her place. I started talking to Dacia which made Ann glare at me but I just looked at her as a sign to wait up and not to interrupt us; just listen. Ann rolled her eyes but listened to what we're talking and she almost choked from drinking her apple juice. She definitely can't believe that I am including her to my plan which was to occupy this leech girl Dacia. I knew Ann got the idea and the reason why I have to include her in my plan since she was smirking. She liked my plan but to Dacia, definitely the other way around. She just gets along with my trial like she's not in the mood to counter or even to flirt with me now. In your face!

Even after the lunch was done, Dacia tagged along with us but she didn't say anything or look at Ann like she's invisible. She's in her deep thought which I took the liberty to talk secretly to Ann.

"Ann, do you know when Mageia will come home?" I whispered to Ann.

"No, but her Aunt told me that she has to control her powers before coming back to us." Ann whispered to me as well till the bell rang and the next class started.

As the class kept going, I could feel that stare that was coming from Dacia like she's thinking of something. I just sigh and didn't bother to look at her seat since it's not my business to deal with and I just listened to the class attentively.

Dacia

Finally, I am friends with her but I could feel that there was something lurking around me and it was getting too dark. I was staring at her, thinking of what I should do which I came up with an idea of writing something to her. After I wrote my letter, I poked the guy who was sitting in front of me but he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders then turned to face the board again. As he turned his back on me, I was pissed off. I poked his side again and lent the letter that I made which made him give a 'what' look over his face that I wanted pulled out from his face but I didn't. Instead, I compelled him to pass my letter to Zoi and when she got it, she looked at my way that made me grin as I waved my hand. She was supposed to be ecstatic from receiving a letter but she just glared at me. So much like her.

As class just ended, I noticed Zoi immediately joined the girl from the cafeteria which I heard her name was Ann. seeing them being close, I want Ann's existence disappeared before my eyes but there was something in her, really making me feel odd. I decided to make her existence before my eyes invincible before I joined them.

"Did you get it?" I asked Zoi directly as I ignored the presence of Ann which I should be ignoring now.

"Get what?" Ann asked as she's eyeing Zoi.

"Just a letter but it was nothing." Zoi replied nonchalantly.

"It's my love letter for you silly." I proudly announce to them which made Ann raise her eyebrow to Zoi.

"Zoi, what was she saying?" Ann asked as my grinned never left my lips.

"You know things! And friends don't give love letters to each other unless they were dating and we're not Dacia. So shut the fuck up and leave me alone!" Zoi shouted at me which I can't help but to laugh since it's so great to see her angry like this.

But something suddenly hit my head which made me dizzy all of the sudden. It was totally painful which I almost lost my consciousness when I heard Zoi was groaning in pain, again. Dammit. Something was up again. I hurried next to her and caught her before she hit the ground.

"Don't just stand there, help me!" I shouted to call the attention of Ann since she was shocked at what was happening.

We bring Zoi to the clinic again and lay her to the bed

"You can go now. She's safe with me." I calmly said but worried at the same time over Zoi's condition.

"No, she's my friend and I know you're up to something." Ann frankly said as she refused to go, which I had no choice but to show her what I do to ease the pain of Zoi.

I bit my wrist before placing it on Zoi's lips. She has to drink my blood to ease the pain. I could feel that Ann was a little shocked at what she was witnessing but didn't bother to interrupt me from what I am doing for Zoi. But there was also something that caught my attention, there was something dark that was swirling around Zoi which also hit me. When she opened her eyes it was totally pitch black and there, I knew something was bad just happened.

"Mine." She said with such a devilish grin that made me speechless since this wasn't Zoi at all. The next thing I knew, she bit me at my neck. I fucked up this time.

Darkness consumed me and the only thing I managed to get a glimpse was Ann shouting help. I know now that I made a wrong move but she needs to run. She's a human.

Ann

"H-HELP! SOMEBODY! ANYONE!" I kept shouting since the Zoi that was sitting there was not entirely her. She's different. It frightens me.

I kept my voice as firm as I could but when I noticed Dacia suddenly fall on the floor, I immediately caught her head before it hit the floor. She's a goner. I shouted once again and instead of a school nurse or anyone, a beautiful woman showed up standing elegantly a few feet behind me.

"What happened?" The woman asked and before I could answer her, she was shoved in the wall by Zoi.

"So long, now I have come to be free." Zoi said but in a different voice, so dark.

"Where is my daughter?" The woman asked in a composed tone.

"You know where, she's in the dark." Zoi answered which made the woman shove her back to the bed saying to call the clan.

Now I remember who this woman was. She's Zoi's Mom, Domika. Then I also recalled Dacia who was still laying on the floor while her head was on my lap and Zoi's Mom looked at me, making me have a blurry vision till i don't remember.
