Chapter 23

Mageia

It's been two days since after the incident and we came back to school like nothing happened except Dacia is hiding from Ann while Zoi was in her hibernation. She's in deep sleep to heal herself up from losing too much energy - well that's what my Aunt Jane told me.

"Hey, Mageia." Alvin called as I also noticed that Ann was looking down. There's something up.

"Come and be brave tell her." Alvin pushed his cousin closer to where I am sitting since I am sitting alone at the nook on the window.

"Tell me what?" I asked as I closed the book on my lap and turned my full attention to them.

Ann finally meets my gaze and she's looking apologetically over something which I already knew what.

"I'm sorry for what my mate did to Zoi..." Ann apologized which it supposed to be Dacia's but I just smiled at her.

"Neh, it's okay. Thanatos wasn't hurt much." I assured her but she was still upset about what happened.

"No, it's not okay, Mageia. I really feel sorry for it and I will hunt Dacia down so I could give her my famous roundhouse kick." Ann madly told me which was funny if she managed to hit Dacia with her black belt kick.

"Alright since the two of you finally made up. I mean, Ann being in her shy-ass was indeed a rare sight to watch." Alvin teased but it earned him a smack behind his head from Ann who's glaring at him. Alvin just raised his hands up before excusing himself grinning as if he wanted his cousin some peace of mind.

"Anyway Ann, how will you hunt Dacia? She's not in school, right?" I curiously asked as Ann took a seat next to me while she looked out the window of the free classroom.

"About that...do you know how to track her?" Ann carefully asked me which made me smile since she came to me for help.

"Yes though it's a little tracking spell but we need some possession like a thing that's really important to her or maybe her hair." I answered which made her think for a second before telling me what's on her mind. I don't want to read her mind.

"I had something from her that she dropped at my room, a locket." She pulled out the locket that she's telling me from her neck before handing it to me. Ann really cared about Dacia a lot.

I studied the locket and it was old but very well maintained. I wanted to open the locket to check if it really hers but there was some energy that was radiating on it. I know that energy and its really Dacia's property.

"This is great. Later, let's try it since it's also my first time trying it without my Aunt's guidance." I was totally excited that I could practise a simple magic that my Aunt taught me.

"Anyway, how is she?" Ann changed the topic as I returned the locket to her. I don't want to lose a thing that doesn't belong to me.

"She's fine but she's still asleep. She consumed a lot of energy, that's why she needs to have enough rest." I answered as my mind drifted to my mate's status since I am missing her deeply.

Then the bell began to ring which made us go to our classroom and the day went on till it was break time. We went to the school rooftop.

"Here we go. Let's do it here." I told Ann as I opened the door of the rooftop which she couldn't believe that I had access to.

"How did you know that it wasn't locked?" Ann wandered which made me chuckle a little before dropping my bag on the floor and did some stretching. It's really a good spot for tracking.

"Well, it's Thanatos favorite spot. She used this place to avoid the bullies back then." I answered as I took a seat and opened my bag. I took out a piece of clear paper, a pen and five small fragments of gems that I got from my aunt. I began to draw a pentagram before putting each stone that represents each point; spirit, air, water, earth and fire.

"What are you drawing?" Ann curiously asked as she took a seat on the ground next to me.

"Oh this is the pentagram. It will help us track Dacia." I answered her and when I was done preparing the paper.

"Can I have her locket?" I turned to Ann then she gave me the locket which I put at the center of the pentagram.

"I need a map and water, do you have one?" I asked since it could also help us easily on tracking her.

"Here you go." Ann handed me her tumblr and her map which I am not sure why she has it in her bag but I don't bother to ask.

I put the map next to me just in case I'm going to need it. I took some water from Ann's tumbler since she's the one who's looking for Dacia and let it drop over Dacia's locket.

"Five strength hear my plea, trace her heart where it leads, far and near, find her Dacia, point the way, track her spirit, find her today." I chanted the locket which began to glow for a second then I placed the locket on the top of the map. When I placed it there, it began to move in circular motion then stopped in a particular place which was really far.

"That's far." I said then I looked at Ann, she's in her deep thoughts.

"Why has she gone so far?" Ann was worried and sad at the same time since Dacia went far away from her.

"Maybe she has a reason for going that far. Don't worry you can still send some messages or call her, right?" I told her which made her only nod then I handed back the locket before tearing the paper to cancel the energy that I summoned and putting my gems back into my secured pocket in my bag.

As I was fixing my things, I noticed Ann was still lost in her thought which made me slap her shoulder lightly.

"You can still use that locket to find her and only you can use the tracking spell that I put in that locket." I encouraged her since I knew that she won't remove that locket away from her neck till she's with Dacia.

"I don't know what to say." Ann almost teared up at what she heard from me but I just smiled at her since she's my best friend that I've got in this school.

"A simple thank you would do." I chuckled a little before continuing what I was doing when my phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered the call and I was a little frozen when I heard the great news.

"Let's hurry! She's finally awake." I excitedly told Ann who's about to go downstairs when I rushed to grab her hand and dragged her along with me. Good thing, our classes for today have already ended.

"Thanatos is awake" I repeated which made Ann smile gladly at me since I never act so childish over something that I am excited about.

We immediately headed to the parking area where Ann's car was located and hopped on it. Ann gets into the driver seat then starts the engine while I put my things at the back along with hers before sitting at the front. I can't wait to see my love.
