Kageyama faced Oikawa. "Next time, I'll do the same thing-" He smugly pursed his lips. "-so please do be vigilant."
"...You damn brat." Oikwa frowned, an irk mark on the side of his head and (Y/N) laughed out loud, slapping her knee.
"Nice one, Tobio!" she gleefully cheered for her friend, not suppressing the genuine smile that appeared on her face. Oikawa clicked his tongue when he saw her expression, a pain in his heart.
"Wow... Karasuno's setter is only a first year, yet he's competing with Oikawa. It feels like a setter showdown."
"That's amazing! You don't even lose to the Grand King, Kageyama!" Hinata smiled, throwing his fists back and forth excitedly.
Kageyama looked over his shoulder at Oikawa. "...Even if he's someone whose overall power is #1 in the prefecture, when it comes to being a setter, I won't lose."
(Y/N) smirked. "A setter showdown... Let's see who will triumph, the hard working teacher or the genius student." She rubbed her hands together, licking her lips and an excited look came over her face. "These battles are always the most fun to watch."
"What do you mean?" Kiyoko asked the girl and (Y/N) continued to smirk.
"A teacher vs student battle is always fun to watch because it keeps you on your toes," (Y/N) simply answered. 'I wonder if Ryo and Tetsu will have a battle like this one day... I can't wait.'
"But you're serving next, aren't you? You'll be in the read guard. You said "the next one's going to be the same," but a dump shot from the rear guard would be a foul," Hinata intelligently shot Kageyama down which made (Y/N) blink in surprise that he could use his brain at times.
"Shut up!" Kageyama shouted, an embarrassed frown on his face. "I meant the next time I rotate back into the vanguard, alright!" ("Pfft!")
"Kageyama, give'em a good one!" Tanaka shouted as the setter went up to serve.
He took in a breath before throwing the ball up and jumping into the air, smacking it with a lot of force. 'Crap!' He gritted his teeth.
"It's out." Hanamaki deadpanned, watching the ball fly over him.
The whistle blew and the flag holders raised the flag up. "Oh dear... I guess he put too much force into it?" Takeda mumbled.
"It's alright! Go ahead and give it all you've got!" Ukai shouted and (Y/N) leaned over to him.
"He was too excited, trying to one-up Tooru-senpai."
"Be quiet brat." "Fine~"
"That was a really impressive missile," Iwaizumi praised and Oikawa snickered.
"What an incredible home run~!" He mocked, a stupid smile on his face.
'Dammit!' Kageyama shook and twitched. "Sorry."
"-Well then... I suppose I'll just have to show you how it's done," Oikawa mumbled, holding the ball up in his hand. He threw it up. 'Here it comes. Oikawa's serve!'
'Who will he target?' Suga grit his teeth, watching nervously. Noya locked his lips, eyes focusing on Oikawa's jumping form. He hit the ball and it headed towards Noya. 'Huh? Nishinoya?'
'An amazingly fast drive serve. But it's coming at me head-on... No. It has a spin.' Noya moved over the last second, shifting his weight over into a lunging position as he cleanly received the ball. The ball flew up into the air and Noya smirked.
