Chapter 6 - Representing

Today, we are playing Year 2 Class 1, team two. From what Yuki told us when he went to watch the games earlier, it seems like their team has two volleyball players and the rest are on the track team. The volleyball players are Ryu-senpai and a girl from the volleyball team, who happens to be the only girl on their team.

"We'll just play like always~," Kagera says as he chews a piece of gum. "But before that I have a question."

"What is it?" Yuki asks and Kagera points a finger at Amu and Kaito.

"What's up with them being all lovey dovey~?"

"They are dating," I answer as I blow a bubble, looking toward the new found couple who are holding hands. They have a flowery aura surrounding them.

"Saa~ Kaito sure is lucky," Kagera mumbles and pokes my bubble with his finger causing it to pop.

"Rude," I snap and he snickers before grinning. "Where's Tobio?"

"Vending machine," Yuki responds. "He'll probably be back before this game ends."

"So whoever wins this game is against the third year team? My bet is on Class 4~" Kagera says before turning to me. "Who are you betting on?"

"Class 4 as well," I replied as I looked at Suga setting up a ball for Daichi. "They got Daichi-senpai and Koshi-senpai who are good volleyball players."

"They will be tough to beat," Yuki states and I nod. "Well, we got to focus on what's in front of us. We will think about the third years after we beat the second years."

"I agree with Yuki!" Amu yells out while wrapping her arm around mine. She smiles cutely. "Let's win this!"

"Yeah," Kaito continues. "And if we become our school representatives then (Y/N) is going to treat us to food again."

"Geh I forgot about that," I mumble and Amu giggles. "I guess that is all the more reason for you guys to get motivated."

"Guys, we should start heading down to the other gym for our game," Tobio says from behind us making everyone flinch from his sudden appearance.

"Alright, let's go and win this."

The game against the second years was a tiring game. Ryu-senpai's ruthless attacks were quite tiring to keep up with, Amu especially had trouble. During the game Tobio and I experimented more with the freak quick, snaps, and cross shots. Yuki and Kagera also practiced their sets giving Tobio more chances to spike. Overall, the entire game was us experimenting and working on our moves. We won the first set 25-20 and the second set 27-25, but it was tiring. Currently, we were all relaxing in class waiting for the bell to ring.

"Hrmmmm...."

"What the heck was that noise, (Y/N)?" Kaito asked, looking disturbed.

"I feel like I'm forgetting something..." I answer as I try to remember what I forgot.

"Well it can't be that important if you forgot~" Kagera states and I furrow my brows.

"I guess so..." I mumble and push the thought to the back of my head, but I'm still slightly bothered.

"Anyways, our game against the third years is after school, so remember to get permission from your clubs to be absent," Yuki says and everyone nods except for me. "The game is in gym 1."

"I'll see you guys there," I mutter and get up from my seat, grabbing my bag. "I'll set up the water bottles."

Walking out of class I headed towards gym 1 and went to change into my PE clothes. Once I did that I went out to the vending machine to buy six water bottles for us. I head back to the gym and place the bottles on the bench on our side along with my schoolbag. Soon, I hear the last bell ring, indicating that school is over. Eventually my teammates and the third years from Class 4 started to enter the gym. My team started to stretch on the sidelines as Class 4 were talking to each other.
