I sit at my desk dragging my finger around the rim of my coffee cup. It's been a week since Y/n found out about me.

I've been texting and calling her, of course she's not answering. This is not like me. The number one rule with being and undercover Agent is to NOT catch feelings. And I broke that rule.

No matter how much I can tell Y/n I love her she won't believe me.

This assignment was supposed to be done 3 months ago but I begged my Captain to make it a little longer. I could've been had the necklace and left , but I couldn't. It had gotten to a point where I forgotten all about this assignment. I develop feelings for her. Four months ago I realized I was becoming attached to her. Her smile, laugh, the way she comes up with these corny jokes. I couldn't put myself to just taking what I needed and leaving.

Now she thinks that I had sex with her because of my own advantage, which I didn't. The first time that we did it, I wasn't thinking about my job or this assignment. I only thought about her and how well we connected.

I have 7 days left to get the necklace or my position will be terminated and if my Captain found out I pushed this assignment back longer then it was supposed to be just because of my own personal feelings I could get fired.

" Wassup Knowles." My friend Kelly who works in the DEA sits down beside me

" Hey Kels" I say in a monotone

" Oh I know that look. What's going on?" She says

" Come on Kelly don't act like you don't know"

" I know that you don't have that necklace yet. But I don't know what's really bothering you. Come on Bey we grew up together I know that mug from anywhere" she lightly pushes my shoulder

" You know the girl I had to go undercover and get close to right?" I say and turn towards her

" Yes the Y/L/N girl" she answers and picks up a pen playing with it

" I think I love her. No, I do love her. She found out that I was undercover a week ago and I haven't heard from her since then. That's why I asked Captain to extended the assignment because I needed more time with her. Not to get the necklace but just to be with her. Now if I don't complete this I could lose my job. That would go right along with me loses the woman I have feelings for." I sigh

" Yes I knew it was something, because their was no way top Agt. Knowles needed an extension on an assignment. You would usually be completed by the time mark. But listen you have been doing this for years, and this is the first time I've seen you like this over a woman. You even put your job on the line because you love this woman. And that's saying something.

My advice to you is to talk to your woman about everything. Tell her how you feel. Get the necklace and turn it in. Do this the right way Bey. Because losing your badge can effect you in the long run. If she still wants to be with you by the end of this you will have you job and your woman. Just tell her the truth." Kelly says and stand up and pats my back
