Chapter 21 -XIV

Christelle's POV

As soon as I open my eyes from my sleep, I immediately look for my babies. I wanted to see them so badly.

I can still feel bearable pain and aching coming from my body, but I don't care, as long as makita ko na ang mga anak ko.

"Girl, you're awake. How's your feeling?"

Mabilis na lumapit saakin si Tiara at Beatrice.

"I'm fine.."mahina kong sagot, "I..uhm.. where's my babies?.."

"Nasa nursery room pa sila, Chrissy. Pero baka ipunta na sila dito maya kasi bumisita dito yung nurse kanina." Paliwanag ni Tiara saakin

Tumango naman ako saka mariing napapikit ng subukan kong umupo sa aking kama.

"Oop! Let me help you, Chrissy." Mabilis akong inalalayan ni Beatrice upang makauoo ng maayos.

Totoo nga ang sinabi nila, na hindi biro ang manganak. Sa pregnancy journeys pa lang ay napakahirap, especially if you are the same case as mine. Another harder thing is to give birth to a kid. It's hard and painful tapos may mga ibang kids out there sinasagot-sagot lang ang mga parents nila. Hayss.. poor them. But anyway, it's super super hard talaga and I know hindi pa ito ang pinaka mahirap na pagdadaanan ko dahil I still have my journey on taking care of my three little angels. I know it will be the hardest thing, but I won't give up, not this time; not anymore. I can do it with the help of my best friends, I know I can do it.

My mind went back to reality when we all heard a soft knock coming from my room's door, followed by a nurse who opened the door.

"Good morning, Mrs. Santiago." He greeted

Nagulat kami nila Tiara dahil sa sinabi nito.

Mrs. Santiago? Nu daw?!

"I-i'm sorry, but I am not Mrs. Santiago."

He looks at me, "Aren't you the patient that Doctor Santiago's with earlier?" He looks confused

"It's me, yes. But I'm not his girlfriend or his wife. I'm his cousin." I explained it to him to avoid the confusion

"A-ah! Haha.." napapahiya s'yang tumango at bahagyang natawa, "my apologies, Ma'am. Sorry for the confusion. How would you like me to address you, Ma'am?"

Napa isip din ako, "Christelle. Ms. Christelle would be great." I smiled to him

"Okay, Ms. Christelle." He nodded, "I am here because it's time for the triplets to eat, Ma'am. It would be better to have them breastfeed." He suggests

Kasunod nito ay pagpasok ng tatlo pang nurse habang tulak-tulak ang baby cart ng mga bata. Ang himbing ng tulog ng tatlo kong anak. Napakasarap nilang tingnan habang natutulog.

The three other nurses placed the baby cart bellow my bed. My room is quite big, I think more or less 10-12 person ang fit sa room na'to.

"Would you like to carry them so you can start feeding one of  them?"

I shook my head, "uhm.. I haven't eat anything yet. I don't think I am able to produce milk in this state of mine." I politely said

He nodded, "oh, right.. I'm sorry again, Ms. Christelle. It's my first duty so, I am nervous. Forgive me." He bowed his head

"It's fine. No worries." I smiled to him a bit

"Well, then.. we'll deliver your food, ASAP. Do you have any specific food in your mind?"

"Uhm.. I want chicken soup if possible."

"Chicken soup, then." He smiled before tapping on his Ipad

"Your food will be here after 15 minutes. I hope you can still wait."
