Chapter 39

**RIANNA'S VIEW**

Kyle and I stood next to each other, reading the conversation Meisha had given us. I looked up at Kyle but he seemed to be in shock - he was just staring at the pages...I looked at the way he was clenching the papers and began feeling scared.

He suddenly started moving; he was half-running, half-walking to where Trey was sitting with Derome and some others... shit was about to pop off

**CIARA'S VIEW**

From my position at the top of a slight slope, I saw Kyle moving away from Rianna with rage in his steps. Rianna and Meisha started rushing behind him, so I followed. Something was obviously going on.

As I got closer, I saw Kyle was holding Trey up against a tree, and it looked like they were arguing.

Then he punched him - he kept punching him and wouldn't stop. I ran up behind him as a crowd began gathering around them. I grabbed the back of his t-shirt, trying to pull him off of him.

He threw his arm back and hit me in the face. When he heard me screaming in pain, he let go of Trey and turned around. Trey took the opportunity to run off, and Kyle turned back to him

"Yeah, you run - remember I know where you live. Prick!" he shouted. He started walking towards me, Paris and Rianna. But Rianna stopped him

"Don't come near her. You're an idiot, Kyle" she said, walking away

Paris had sat me on the grass, and was trying to make me put my head back to stop the blood flow out of my nose.

"Ciara..." he started, "Ciara, you know I didn't hit you on purpose, I didn't know it was you behind me..." he said, waiting for me to speak

My mouth was full of blood, so I spat it out and beckoned for him to come closer

I grabbed his hand, and heard Karina mumble something behind me.

"Alright, boys and girls, show's over!" Meisha shouted, indicating to the crowd that they should move away

"Why did you do that to him?" I whispered, didn't want anyone to hear even though the only people now left near us were my friends, and Derome.

"He lied to me. He made me believe that you wanted him, and not me." he whispered back

"So how come you suddenly believe that he was lying?" I said, talking at normal level

"Coz they showed me proof" he said, pointing at Meisha and Derome. Rianna handed me a bunch of papers, which I began reading. So Trey and that bitch had joined together and broken us down. And Kyle had been stupid enough to fall for it, which meant that he obviously thought I was really capable of something like that. I closed my eyes tightly

"But you still believed him." I stated. My eyes were full of tears which threatened to fall. So much for never crying over him again. I heard the others all moving away; I opened my eyes to see it was just Kyle and I left in the shaded area

"They made it seem so real, though"

I closed my eyes tightly, but the tears still slid out of my eyes. He wiped my tears away with the bottom of his t-shirt, and then kissed my forehead.

"You broke my heart. How many more second chances do you expect from me?" I asked. I was so tired, and in so much pain. I just wanted to sleep

"I don't expect anything from you anymore. I don't even expect you to love me back anymore"

I nodded

"I don't know what to do" I said
