Edwards Pov

Naomi clung to my side, her warm body pressed against mine. "Why does it have to be like this?" She whispered.

I jerked away from her cautiously.  What did she mean? Was it me? Emmett? Bella? Maybe Jacob?

I felt my senses coming coming back to me. She was using me.

What did this mean? Was I to pretend I never heard what she said and move on?  Or ask her about it? What if she tried to fool me again?

I contemplated the situation. Was she trying to get revenge on Jacob and make him jealous? Or did she just want to destroy every sense of love that she saw?

She's horrible. A voice in my head whispered. And now Bella is gone. Probably forever gone now.

I gritted my teeth as the realization of my thoughts hit me. I had one great thing in my life that I has fought for so much and now it's gone.

Naomi has fooled me time and time again. And I was certain that I was stupid for falling for it everytime.

Why hadn't Naomi's powers worked on Jacob? Was he kind of a mental shield to Naomi, like Bella has been to me?

Or was he just smarter than I was?

Of course he was know for his stubborness. Perhaps this was the cause for his inability to be fooled?

By this time, Naomi noticed that I was thinking about something. Her eyebrows were furrowed as she studied me.

"Are you okay, baby?" She whispered seductively. She bit her lips, but I looked away so that she couldn't fool me anymore than she already was.

"I'm fine, I was just thinking about something. It has to do with hunting." I lied easily about the last part.

"You thirsty?" She winked suggestivly and I had to clench my jaw to keep from gagging in horror.

She had gotten pretty far with Emmett, kicked him out, made out with me and now wanted sex? Why?

What the hell was running through her damn head? Was she insane or just purely desperate? What were her intentions?

"For blood,  of course." I muttered. I rolled my eyes as she look down at the bedsheets.

She pouted sitting up and not looking at me. Apparently, she was the only turned on person here.

"I'm going to hunt." I said, getting up and putting back on my shirt.

I was tempted to take a shower to get all of her filth off of me, but I decided it would make this too obvious.

"Why don't you come back on the bed and we do something we might regret later?" She murmured in a dark voice.

I had to admit, she was almost foolib TV me with just her voice, but I fought the urge to join her and shook my head.

"I need to hunt before I decide to go for a human snack, Naomi." I insisted.

Her mouth dropped open in shock as she took in that I couldn't be fooled at the moment.

"Fine." She said between her teeth. "I'll just stay here, then." Her eyes stared at the bedsheets one again.

"Okay." I said, and then darted out the door, and towards the back door of the house, ignoring her stupid response and not saying another word.

Vaguely, I heard a heartbeat, a normal human heart beat, and smelled the scent or blood. I felt my eyes widen. A human? Here? Why?

I saw Rose's blonde hair, and stipoed. It was her. I gasped.  Her heart was beating. She was... human?

No, that was impossible. She couldn't go back. She was a vampire.

She whirled around, glancing at me and then darting out the door same speed as a vampire, same flawless vampire features.

What the hell?

I followed her out the door, but heading in a different direction. Towards the woods, the road, and then the meadow. I stopped as I realized what I has done.

She was gone. I had dumped her, for a pathetic mutt who was only using me. I don't know where she went, for she would be hiding, crying tearlessly. I had destroyed us, but allowing myself to be so badly fooled by a slut like Naomi.

The meadow was a place that used to mean something to two people, in love. But now I knee that I had ruined it, again.

And now I had to die.
