Mike's Pov

I knew I had changed. The previous scorching that had only faded moments ago had been terrifying.

What was I?

There was no answer for this until I felt the fire blazing furiously in my throat. It felt like acid was eating at the flesh, doing anything to try to make me perish from the inside out.

It was an unusual thing; to be so different than I was before. I could see everything. Not like before, when I thought I could see everything. What I mean is that now I can actually see everything.

Every speck of every detail of every object. The dust particles floating softly through the air, and the beauty of everything around me.

With this sight, everything was even more remarkable.

And the things I smelled. I felt as if I had just been blessed with superhuman powers. The smell of lilacs from across the empty lot and the smell of-

Blood.

My eyes widened at the pure smell. So delectable, so desirable. I wanted nothing more than to find whoever's owner to the blood was.

I knew what I was now. The details proved every theory spinning around in my now more complex mind.

No. I told myself. I cannot hurt anyone. If I was to hurt someone, it could be anyone. What if it was Angela or Ben? Or Jessica?

I gripped my head furiously as I fought to resist the smell of this masterpiece.

Blood. Blood. I need it. I have to have it. Blood. Thirsty. Blood. My thoughts screeched at me.

What if it's someone I know? I questioned myself. What would I do then? What if I killed someone that I loved?

I stopped breathing almost immediately. It helped a little bit, but I was now only left with the scorching flames that were flickering across my throat like forest fire.

I closed my eyes, enjoying this moment in which I was able to think again. I opened my mouth, not needing, but wanting air. And that was a big, stupid, awful mistake.

My eyes snapped open, seeing everything perfectly again. I smiled wickedly, giving in to my hunting instincts. I must find this human.

I sped forward, wanting to pause to think about this extraordinary speed I had gained through my transformation.

But it was too late to think about anything of the likes. I had given in to my dark, dangerous, hunting side. And there was no going back now.

I only paused when I arrived at my destination. The Cullen home. I smiled, hoping it was Edward that I would kill. He had stolen Bella from me years ago.

I flitted through the door, fighting the urge to growl as I saw Jacob walk out of the back door, ten feet away, and morph into a giant wolf.

Alice followed him out, and I glanced at her, slightly amazed, or dazzled you could say, by her striking beauty. She was breathtaking.

I remember the blood and glanced inside to see the back of a teen girl. Or she looked and seemed like a teenage girl.

I opened the door quietly, flitting in behind her, crouching down to take a whiff. I sniffed, but did bot inhale, knowing something big was going to happen.

"I have been waiting for you, Mike. Alice informed me that you would show up tonight. You chose a good time to come." A beautiful voice whispered.

I gasped, standing up to see the girl turn to face me.

She was strikingly beautiful, with rosy cheeks upon her creamy complexion and full, thick eyelashes that enveloped her breathtaking chocolate brown eyes.

Her pink full lips spread across her smile- and her smile sparkled under the dim lighting of the room.

Her thick, wavy bronze hair teacher the lining of her waist and I couldn't help but fall to my knees in front of this darling beauty.

This was the moment in which I knew my true reason for existence.

"Mike, if I may ask, why are you here?" She asked me with her smoldering eyes boring into mine.

I tried go speak, going to explain the tasty smell and how far away I had chased it from. But the words couldn't exit my mouth.

"Don't worry. I know the reason." She said, whispering softly. "You smelled my blood." She smiled lightly.

"My darling, may I ask you something?" I questioned, gazing at her beauty once more.

"Of course, Mike. Ask whatever you'd like to." She answered, smiling, which dazzled me much more than Alice had just moments ago.

"How did you know that I would be here tonight? Or in better words, how did Alice?" I asked her quietly.

"Alice is the same as what you are. She is a vampire, you are a vampire, just the same. The rest of the family are vampires as well. And Alice can see the future of course." She smiled.

"She saw me coming?"

"Yes. I had known who you are from my mother and I had even seen you at times. And I couldn't wait for this day to come so that I could be with you."

"You say that like you already love me, dear." I said to her, feeling confused by all of the information she had just given me.

She blushed, staring at the floor in embarrassment. She could already love me, could she?

"I'm afraid that I might actually love you, Michael." She replied. I flinched when she called me by my full first name.

In that instant, hearing those words echoing in my mind, I felt as if I could melt into a puddle at her feet.

.....Gah. It's not as good as I'd like. Writing from his point of view was slightly more difficult. Whatevs....
