I anxiously sat outside of principal Nezu's office. I had been waiting out here for about an hour as they discussed my status at UA. I wasn't able to take the entrance exams, and honestly, I didn't even want to go to school here until about a couple weeks ago.

"All I am telling you is that with a quirk like yours, you could go far as a hero. I know you are running from what happened, and I know that it was made for evil- but it doesn't have to be. You've gained quite a bit of control over your quirk, just say the words, and I will be happy to write you a recommendation."

Kamihara's words replayed in my head. He and the rest of the Lurkers team sat in principal Nezu's office, trying to convince school board to let me in. I had three, strong recommendation letters, but the semester had already started. I had changed my mind too late, and I told Kamihara to not worry about it; it was my own fault- but he took matters into his own hands.

I looked back down at my phone. It had been almost an hour and a half now. This was all pointless. Even if I had applied before the deadline, they wouldn't have taken me. They know my quirk, what it was made for. They would never let someone like me in-

"Good news!" Mt. Lady cheered, bursting through the door.

"I think Edgeshot should be the one to tell her," Kamui Woods commented.

"It's fine," Kamihara shrugged.

"You are officially a student in class 1-A!" Mt. Lady announces. "How should we celebrate? Let's go out!"

I wasn't really paying much attention to her, but rather staring at Kamihara in disbelief. He really pulled it off.

"Don't look so shocked, kid. I told you that we'd get you in," he told me. "You start on Monday, and be prepared-"

Before he could finish his sentence, the rest of the school board started to leave the office as well. None of them really looked at me, except one specific hero: Eraserhead. I could feel the tension as they walked passed me. It was the same tension I have felt my whole life. It was the tension that made me no longer want to be a hero.

"I think that we should go out to eat for (Y/N)," Kamui Woods said. "Seems only fitting."

"I agree, (Y/N), what do you want?" Kamihara asked me.

All three of them looked at me with anticipation. Mt. Lady looked happy as ever, and Kamui Woods held a small smile on his face as well. Even Kamihara looked proud. I may not have been his biological kid, but I know that over the years of watching me, he had seen me as a daughter. It was a big moment for the both of us.

"I could go for some sushi," I smiled back at them.

"Again?" Kamui sighed.

"We did let her pick," Kamihara grumbled.

I got up and started to walk out with them. Mt. Lady was eager to tell me all about what had happened during the meeting, and Kamui corrected her every time she started getting away from herself, while Kamihara walked quietly beside us.
