Chapter Thirteen

Sero and Mineta soon wen against Midnight. Shockingly, Mineta passed the practical for them, but that's not what I was concerned about. I was more worried about the next match. Soon Bakugo and Midoriya match started, and we all watched in anticipation. Bakugo obviously started off giving everything he could, not thinking about a strategy, and All Might wasn't having any of it. Things were looking bleak, but Midoriya was able to swoop in and save Bakugo. Amazingly, the two of them were able to come together and knock All Might down, but it wasn't enough to take him out of the fight. And All Might was not holding back. However, nether was Bakugo. The blasts he was using here insane and reckless, but it wasn't enough. All Might was able to knock Bakugo out, but Midoriya came back for him, hitting All Might and getting both himself and Bakugo pass the entrance.

"Man, that was intense," Kirishima commented.

"It was crazy to watch...you think we should go check on them in the infirmary?" I asked him.

"Knowing Bakugo, he's going to be pissed, it's probably better to leave him alone right now," Kirishama replied. "Plus, Recovery Girl would kick us out anyways."

"Yeah...you're probably right," I replied.

After the practical, Mr. Aizawa informed us that we were all going to the training camp, which I was grateful for...I didn't know how I would have managed without Mina there. However, those who did not pass had take extra lessons, which I knew Mina, Kaminari, and Kirishima were going to struggle with, but I was just glad my friends were going. After we received the news that we were all going to the training camp, the class decided that we were going to spend the day at the mall, excluding a few.

"This is my favorite place, where do you want to visit first?" Mina asked me.

"Well, it is outdoors, maybe we should look at—"

"Swimsuits!" Mina interrupted me, grabbing me by the arm and dragging me into one of the clothing shops.

"Mina, I don't know how much time we'll have for swimming, plus we don't even know if there is going to be lake," I told her.

"Okay, but what if there is? Don't you want to look cute...for a certain boy?" she winked at me.

"Huh—"

"C'mon, you and Kirishima have been pretty close since you got here," she hinted at me.

Kirishima...well he is-

"Kirishima, which one of these swimsuits do you think would look better on (Y/N)?" Mina practically shouted across the store.

I looked across, and of course, Kaminari and him were shopping in the same store as us.

"Mina—"

"Huh, oh hey guys, I didn't realize you guys came in here too," Kirishima greeted us, as him and Kaminari came over to us.

"Yes, we're trying to find a swimsuit for (Y/N), what do you think?" Mina repeated holding up two different swimsuits.

"Mina!" I tried to intervene, my face starting to get read.

I couldn't help but notice Kirishima start to blush as well.

"You don't have to answer that," I told him.

"Oh no, it's no issue...I'd definitely have to say the red one," he smiled at me.

I smiled shyly back-

"You're right, (Y/N), why don't you go to try it on—"

"No, no, that's okay, we can just get the red one," I hushed her, taking the swimsuit out of her hands.

I ended up buying the swimsuit to appease Mina, and after some convincing, I was able to talk her into getting some new training clothes and actual essentials for the trip. However, I couldn't help but think about what she suggested in the mall. Had Kirishima and I actually been that close? I had never really thought of him in that way.

I didn't want to let her silly thoughts consume me too much, especially with the training camp coming up. Even if I had liked Kirishima like that, I didn't want to force anything. I didn't enroll in UA to find a boyfriend. There was no need to force or start anything.

Before we went to the training camp, the girls decided that they all wanted to hang out at the school pool. Since we weren't allowed to take any trips over summer vacation, I could only agree to join them.

"It's so lame we can't wear our own swimsuits," Mina complained, as we took a break from playing volleyball.

"Well, we are using the school pool. It would only make sense that we wear the school swimsuits," I pointed out.

"I know, but it's still lame. I wanted to see Kirishima's reaction when you—"

"Please don't finish that statement," I cut her off.

"Speaking of which, where is—"

Before she could finish her statement, Bakugo entered the pool area, aggressively coming after Midoriya, per usual. Kirishima followed in after him, holding him back from acting out.

"There they are," Mina commented.

Since all of the boys were here, Iida suggested that they have a race. However, after watching Bakugo fly over the pool in the first round, it was clear to see that these races weren't going to be the most even matches in the world. Midoriya and Todoroki also won their rounds, leaving the three of them against each other for the last match. However, just as they were about to start Mr. Aizawa interrupted us, telling us that it was time to go home, and just like that, before we knew it, it was time for the summer training camp.
