It was insane. It was just insane how much their life changed after bringing William home. But it was only nine in the morning and Stevie was ready to kill all three of her children. They were all screaming and running around and being little hellions so she finally turned to Lindsey who looked just as defeated slumped against the arm of the couch.
"We need to go somewhere."
"What do you mean?" Lindsey asks.
"We need to get the girls out of the house." Stevie explains.
"What?" Lindsey asks.
"Lets go to the zoo." Stevie states.
"You want to take William out into public this soon."
"Lindsey we've gotta do something. He's never going to get to sleep if we don't and I'm not ready to deal with a cranky baby." Stevie sighs.
"Well I'll take care of him you go get the girls dressed." Lindsey takes William out of her arms. Lindsey had a really hard time dressing the girls because no matter how organized Stevie was with their clothing he just felt awkward dressing his daughters.
"I have a little sun hat for him upstairs In his room. It's navy a bucket hat." Stevie explains tugging on his teeshirt as he stood up.
"CORDELIA! MISTY!" Stevie calls causing them to stop and stare at her. Cordelia had a cape around her shoulders and Misty had a little monkey stuffed animal and a blanket in her hands dragging behind her on the floor. She was chasing after her sister.
"Yes momma?" Cordelia questions.
"We're going to the zoo so I need to get you girls dressed. Now please, please, please cooperate with me." Stevie pleads. She was lucky enough to have gotten a shower that morning and she actually forced herself to get dressed in a pair of jeans and a black flowy three quarter length sleeve blouse with pink flowers on it. Because up until that point it had been pajamas and sweatpants as they tried to adjust to William.
Misty was first, and Stevie dressed her in a white long sleeve peasant blouse with yellow flowers on it and a pair of chambray pants. Ontop of Misty's blonde curls she placed a chambray bucket hat and kissed her little cheek before sliding her feet into brown Mary Janes. Cordelia was a little bit harder but she dressed her in a light pink long sleeve shirt and placed a denim overall dress over that. She made her put on her little brown ankle boots and she pulled her blonde waves into a pony tail before placing a denim ball cap with white daisy's on it on her head. She grabbed their wind breakers, Cordelia's was a bright pink one and Misty had a white one with teal flowers on it.
"Okay Sunflower, do you want a coloring book?" Stevie asks looking at the mess of activity stuff in the middle of the floor. There were learning books and puzzles and crayons and coloring books.
"This one." She goes and picks the princess one up handing it to her mother.
"Alright, pick a couple of small toys for you and your sister. I'm going to go check on Daddy and brother." Stevie sighs lightly tugging on the ponytail.
Entering the nursery she can see Lindsey changing his diaper and the little blued eyed brunette was wide awake making little cooing sounds.
"Well hello my handsome boy." Stevie smiles kneeling down and kissing his forehead.
"What about me?" Lindsey asks.
"What about you?" She inquires.
"Don't I get a kiss?" He asks. She just huffs and gives him a kiss and then she turns back to her baby. Lindsey's got him in a navy blue and white stripe body suit and she can see the little white socks on his feet and the navy blue stretchy pants off to the side.
