Lindsey picked up Chinese for him and Stevie knowing full well that all three of the kids passed out on the way home, but he was sure that they would wake up eventually and they'd be starving and when they did Cordelia still had leftovers so she could eat that.  Lindsey carried the girls in while Stevie grabbed William and the bags and when Lindsey came back downstairs Stevie had William sleeping in the baby swing and she was pacing around the living room floor as she ate her carton of Orange Chicken and Noodles.

"We're never going to get to do anything with them are we?" Stevie asks.

"We were there for like six hours that's why. If it had been a quick trip it would've been fine. We go to the grocery store with them and the park all of the time." Lindsey shrugs.

"I just, they knew we had our kids why would they mob us like that?" Stevie asks.

"They want to get that million dollar shot of our kids. But that's not why I'm mad." Lindsey huffs.

"Wy are you mad?" She asks.

"I'm mad because of the questions they asked. If Mick hadn't of written that goddman book they wouldn't have known I choked you. They wouldn't have been able to ask that question. I'm mad that they asked it in front of our kids. I'm mad that we can't move past it." Lindsey states.

"We have move passed it." Stevie crosses her arms.

"Maybe in our private life we have. But every time we do promo or something they're going to ask and I don't want to relive that." Lindsey states.

"Why did you choke me?" Stevie asks after a moment.

"Honestly, I only remember bits and pieces. I was drinking so much at that time that I couldn't even see straight. I think part of me wanted to kill you before you could kill yourself because that was right before you went into Betty Ford and it was just a very bad time." Lindsey shakes his head.

"I was killing myself, but I'm okay now. I'm okay and sober and so are you." Stevie states going over and rubbing her hands on his biceps.

"But it still...Steph Cordelia asked why I choked you. How do we explain that to her?" Lindsey questions.

"We don't...she's three she'll forget about it tomorrow." Stevie explains.

"What do we do if they keep asking I..." He stars.

"We don't do anything. We tell them that it's done and over with and we love each other very very much." Stevie shakes her head.

"How do I let the anger out though. I'm fucking seething that they would..." He starts.

"Go write Lindsey." She soothes.

"What?"

"Go to your studio and go write."

"But I..."

" We got the girls you don't have to go into retirement anymore and I already told you I'm going to take a little break. Honey you need to write." Stevie tells him.

"Can we do it Steph, can we both be effective working parents?" He asks.

"We'll make it work honey, but I..." She starts as soon as William's sweet cry echoed and Stevie smiled.

"I'm going to go feed him. Go eat your food and go write." Stevie smiles getting up on her tiptoes and giving him a quick kiss before turning to their son.

October 23, 1991

With a twenty-one day old baby, and their two toddlers in tow Lindsey and Stevie were about to attempt another outing with the kids. They were going to the animal shelter to look at possibly adopting a dog. But they were weary going to a shelter especially with the kids because you never know what's going to happen.  A dog could be aggressive or timid and shy and anything could go wrong.
