Chapter 3

-Corpse's POV-

Corpse smiled, hearing Sykkuno's soft snores through the phone. He waited for another hour or so before hanging up. He felt a strange feeling of emptiness creep into the room. He put on some music and played on his computer for a bit. He decided it was good that Sykkuno had fallen asleep because his throat was hurting a bit. He went to his kitchen, made some food, and forced himself to eat it, despite the pain. He drank some water and looked at the time.

Corpse cuddled up under his covers and attempted to sleep. After a few hours, he grabbed his phone. It was 3 am. He saw a text and was confused. The text was from Sykkuno but he didn't ever hear his phone go off. "Hey, I'm sorry I fell asleep on the phone :(" the message read. Corpse smiled softly. "It's alright, I forgot to take into account that you're 8 hours ahead of me :(" Corpse replied. "WHY ARE YOU AWAKE AT 3 AM SIR?!" Sykkuno had replied. Corpse giggled softly. "Corpse do not make me call you, why are you awake??" Sykkuno texted back. "Uhm.. actually could you.. Call me..?" Corpse replied. "I'm having a really hard time sleeping again and I wanna see if you can help.." Corpse texted. He didn't get a text back but then the call notification popped up. "Hii" Corpse answered. "Aww you sound so tired.. How do you want me to help??" Sykkuno asked him. "Just talk.. I don't care about what," Corpse replied. Sykkuno's voice had a magical way of calming Corpse down and giving him a little bit of happiness. He didn't understand it, which was part of the reason Sykkuno scared him so much. Sykkuno went on about random things as he went about his day. Corpse drifted off around 4 am.

He woke up in the morning and checked his phone. "I heard you fall asleep so after an hour or so I hung up, Sleep well Corpse, I'll talk to you later :)" Sykkuno had texted him. Corpse smiled, feeling slightly happy as he started to believe Sykkuno cared for him. "Hellooooo I'm sorry if I was an inconvenience at all when I asked you to call me.." Corpse texted. He rubbed his eyes and got up. He went to the kitchen, took his meds, and walked back to his room. He frowned as he saw he didn't have a text back and went to shower. He stayed in the shower a little longer than usual and ended up in there for an hour. When he got out, he still didn't have a text from Sykkuno. He figured he had annoyed him as he got dressed in sweatpants and the same baggy hoodie. He laid back in bed and burrowed under his blankets. The sun shone through the window and Corpse pulled the blanket over his head. He refused to get up today. He was tired, he just wanted to rest.

Is this what Sykkuno meant by "talk to you later"? Why'd he say later? I annoyed him didn't I? I shouldn't have asked him to call last night..

Corpse's thoughts bounced around his head as he tried to go back to sleep.

He hates me now. Wait why do I care so much if he's ignoring me? I'm used to this.

Corpse rolled on his side.

But I like Sykkuno.. He's a great friend..

Corpse pulled the blanket over him more.

He hates me.

Corpse's phone dinged. "Sorry for the late reply I was messing with some stuff for my next stream! And nonono you didn't annoy me at all!! I like talking to you ^^" the message read. Corpse ignored it. He couldn't be bothered at this moment to deal with people.

At least he doesn't hate me.
