TRIGGER WARNING: BAD SELF TALK

-Corpse's POV-

Corpse took a deep breath. His mind raced as his heart pounded.

I can't fucking do this, I don't want to live in constant pain anymore.. I just.. I want Sykkuno..

Corpse grabbed his phone and flipped it in his hand a few times. A few tears fell down his face and before he knew what he was doing, he called Sykkuno. "Hello?" he heard Sykkuno's voice echo through his mind. "Uh.. hi.." Corpse mumbled, trying not to cry more than he was. "Corpse! Are you okay?" Sykkuno asked him, worry clear in his voice. "I'm okay, I was just.." Corpse stopped.

What am I doing? Where am I going with this.. What's happening..

Corpse wiped his eyes. "Corpse, talk to me.. What's wrong..?" Sykkuno asked softly. Corpse sniffled, trying desperately to stop crying as he laid on his bed, Sykkuno on speaker. "Corpse..?" Sykkuno asked. "Everything sucks right now, Sy.. and you're the only one that makes me feel better.." Corpse mumbled, his voice breaking.
Gods you're so worthless you can't even talk without your voice breaking

"Oh.. Corpse," Sykkuno said softly. Corpse took a deep breath. "I wish you were here, Sy.. I really do.." Corpse mumbled. "I will be one day, Corpse.. Promise," Sykkuno said. Corpse let out a small breath he had been holding. "Everything will be okay, Corpse. I'm still right here. Even though we are forever and a half miles away, I'm still here," Sykkuno said. A minute of silence passed. Then another. "Hey, Sy.." Corpse mumbled softly. "Yeah?" Sykkuno said softly. "Please don't hate me.." he said. "Why would I ever hate you, Corpse?" Sykkuno asked. Corpse played with the rings on his hand. He shut his eyes as more tears fell. "Because.." Corpse hesitated. "I love you.." Corpse said. More and more tears fell with every second of silence that passed. "And.. not as a friend.. Sy, I'm.. in love with you.." Corpse said. Corpse felt his heart shatter and drop as silence filled the air once again. "Sy..?" A heavy feeling set in his chest as he could no longer stop himself from crying. He rolled onto his side and ended the call, crying harder. He wasn't mad, he was just upset. Very upset. He wiped his eyes again, sniffling and barely breathing as shaky breaths made his chest hurt.

You lost your only real friend, corpse. Good job, he hates you now. Gods you're such a mistake. A worthless burden,

He took a deep breath, trying to calm down when he heard his phone start ringing. He answered it and put it on speaker. "Hm?" he hummed, wiping his eyes one more time. "Corpse!! I panicked and I couldn't answer but I love you too!!" silence filled the air once more. "You don't have to lie to make me feel better, Sy," Corpse replied, feeling upset that Sykkuno would lie to him. "Corpse I'm not lying!" Sykkuno said. "I swear on bingus." Sykkuno continued. Corpse sniffled and giggled slightly. "Okay okay, I believe you," Corpse replied, feeling the tears slowly stop. "So what now..?" Sykkuno asked. "I'm not one to really go off my emotions.. But.. we can try to date..?" Corpse said softly. "Yes please!" Sykkuno said. His excitement caught Corpse off guard and he started laughing. "Okay, okay, I do have to go though, I have to get ready for the doctors," Corpse said, slight fear coming through his voice. He hated going to the doctor. "Okay, love, I'll be here when you get back!" Sykkuno replied. Corpse smiled, blushing slightly. "Thank you, Syk," Corpse said. "Always!" Sykkuno replied. "I'll call you when I get back, promise!" Corpse said. He hung up. Blushing red and got ready for the doctors.

~

Corpse came back from the doctors and laid on his bed, in pain everywhere. He was hyped on medication so he couldn't feel the pain. All he felt was tired. He pulled his blanket over him and fell asleep, forgetting to call Sykkuno despite his promise.
