For two weeks, Willow was in and out of consciousness. This morning she was feeling much better and didn't hurt as much. But she was trying to figure out who's room she was in. She was laying there staring at the ceiling when a soft knock was heard. Slowly sitting up Willow saw Eleanor walk in. Looking around she realized that she was in Sawyer's room. In his bed. And he was over on the couch asleep.
"Good morning Willow," Eleanor said," it's good to see you awake and aware."
"How long have I been in pups room?" Willow asked.
"Two weeks," Eleanor said.
"What!?" Willow gasped.
"Shhhh!" Eleanor shushed," this is the only time I've seen him sleep that isn't from him collapsing out of exhaustion."
Willow just stared at Eleanor. She was shocked to hear that Sawyer wasn't sleeping at night or at all unless he collapsed. She thought he was the type that would never say no to sleep. After all, he would sleep until noon most days.
"Let me look over your back and then I'll bring you something to eat," Eleanor said.
Willow moved away from the pillows and allowed Eleanor to look her over. As Eleanor looked her over Willow couldn't help but ask," who changed my clothes?"
"Oh, the captain had me do it," Eleanor said," after all, I worked in a medical field before so I knew what to do to not irritate your back."
With that Eleanor left Willow and shortly returned with some food and a cup of water. She then made her way over to Sawyer.
"I thought you said not to wake him?" Willow said now questioning her k-9 friend.
"Yes I did, but I now need to check his wound," Eleanor said calmly.
"What?" Willow asked.
"He got hurt saving you," Eleanor said," and one of the wounds is refusing to heal."
She watched as Eleanor nudged Sawyer. He grumbled but didn't wake. Eleanor nudged him again this time saying that she needed him awake for a moment. That time he opened an eye and glared at her.
"What?" He asked with a yawn.
"I need to see if it has finally decided to close," Eleanor said speaking of the wound Sawyer had.
With a grunt, he sat up and turned for Eleanor to look at it. Willow watched as Eleanor removed a big white and red bandage from Sawyers's left side. Eleanor grabbed a bottle of peroxide and a cloth that has been stained with blood. Must be Sawyers blood. Willow thought. She was impressed when Eleanor dabbed the cloth gently on Sawyers stitched up wound, and he didn't even flinch in pain.
"Well, today it's looking better," Eleanor said," I'll just leave the bandage off today, but if it starts to bleed again it'll need to be bandaged."
Sawyer gave Eleanor a nod that he understood and she took that as her leave. Now it was just Willow and him in the room.
"How you feeling today?" Sawyer asked standing from the couch to stretch.
"I'm feeling better than I have been," Willow said but then asked," how did you get that wound?"
"Thomas," Sawyer simply said.
"He didn't do anything other than beat and starve you, right?" Sawyer asked.
Willow was confused about the question but answered it anyway," no he didn't, but he..." She trailed off. She didn't want Sawyer to worry. After all, Thomas didn't get far in his attempt of rapping her. Glow sticks and Jack-o-lantern made sure of that. She soon became aware of Sawyer's eyes on her.
