Dear Me,

I am writing to you from the future. To my 12 year old self. I wanted to say how proud of you how far you came so far. So, i'm just gonna tell you about what happened through the years before i give you some advice. I know I was in grade 7 while I was 12. Which was the best school year of my life. I have actually a lot of friends, I didn't have as much anxiety as I do now. I was participating in all class activities. I was going to the gym every lunch, I had a really good year. But then I got a letter saying I would have to switch schools for grade 8 and 9. I went to the new school and that is where everything went downhill for me. All my friends went to different schools and I only really had my cousin. Which is still my best friend. Anyways it just wasn't really good for me after grade 7. I got really bad social anxiety. No one at the school really liked me. Even one time someone hit me at the school. Anyways grade 9 was the same. It was terrible. My anielty went up more. By the time I got to high school, I was socially awkward, I couldn't do presentations or freak out. Switching schools and leaving my friends is what really went bad for me. I was still with my cousin. Just from all the anielty my self - esteem when done,

Some advice I would give my younger self would be don't care about what other people say. Yes, it is hard being in middle school. Yes, it is the hardest school years of your life. Because you're still a kid. Enjoy your life while it lasts. You can only be a kid once. You need to not care about what other people think of you. You are special, unique and you deserve so much in the world.

More advice would be to just focus more on your school work then video games. Yes, video games can be fun but you also have school work and homework that is far more important. You need to get good grades, so you will be able to make it to a good college. Also, focus more in class. Yes, class is boring but if you actually pay attention you will actually learn and maybe even have fun.

More advice would have to be to love yourself. Love who you are, love who you become. You are loved and cared for and no one can ever change that for you. Dress how you want, look how you want, even act how you want. The only person that truly really needs to care is you.

More advice is to enjoy your time with your loved ones.
