Y/n POV
The rest of my shift was very boring, but finally it ended and we left for Steve's house.
"How was the register?" Soda asked as we walked back, "boring as hell" I answered very straightforward, which made him laugh.
"How about you?" I returned the question, "eh, ok" he shrugged in response."Hey guys?" Steve asked, "yeah?" we both responded, "did you guys do something in front of Evie? Because she knows about your relationship now".
I sighed.Of course she said something.
"Uh yeah she caught us talking" Soda said for me and Steve nodded, "yeah she mentioned it to me, you know she has, and not to be a shit boyfriend or anything but, a big mouth, right? Out of all of the people you could've slipped up in from of, she was not the one to".
"Great thanks for the advice Steve" I said sarcastically, "we'll have to beat her to the punch I guess, tell everyone about us sooner than we had planned to". Soda and I both sighed.
I frowned, realizing she was still going to tell people even though I gave her free food.Once we had gotten back to Steve's house, we noticed that there was a car in the driveway.
"Shit" I mumbled and Steve reached over and rubbed my shoulder, "it'll be fine".His parents were finally home.
We walked into the house and we heard talking, so I hurriedly ran to my room, too nervous to speak to them. Soda ran after me, closing the door behind him once he was in my room.
"It's not gonna be as bad as you envision it you know" he said trying to settle my nerves, "probably, I just don't want to be homeless".
"Hey" he said, lifting my chin to have me look up at him, "if that even happens, which I doubt it will, you know you can always stay at my place again, right?". I sighed "I know Soda, I just will always feel bad about it because I'll feel like I'm inconveniencing you".
"You know that I would never feel that way" he told me, almost interrupting me, and I leaned forward and kissed him.
"Let's just go now" I told him, grabbing his hand and opening the door."You guys good?" Steve asked, he was standing outside the door.
"Yup!" I said, faking a smile at him.
We all went and hung out in the living room, when his parents eventually came downstairs. "Hey mom, dad" Steve said to them once they entered the room, seeing us there.
"Hi Steve!" His mom said excitedly and gave him a hug, "I missed you! It's been so long" "yeah" Steve responded shortly.
"Hey son" his dad said, "hi".
"Hi y/n and Soda! How are y'all?" His mom said turning her attention to us, "good" "better" we responded."Oh yeah so mom, dad, is it ok with you guys if y/n stays here in the guest room for a while?" Steve mentioned to them. They gave him confused looks.
"Now why would she do that?" his mom questioned us, a surprised look spread across her face.
"I don't exactly, have anywhere else now" I admitted to them, refusing to look at their faces.
"Oh, well, I guess so, sure, you can stay here" his mother told me, unsure if she was making the right decision. His father said nothing and kept a blank expression on his face.
"Thank you so much, I really appreciate it" I thanked them.
"Well you guys go out and have fun, we'll fix everything up in here" his mom said and shooed us out of the house. We walked outside and I sighed the second that the door closed, thankful to get that over with.
"Well that was pretty good" Soda said to me, rubbing my hand while holding it.
"Yeah I'd say that that went pretty well" I responded. Steve said nothing.
"Yeah they didn't seem too mad which was good" Soda continued to reassure me as we walked to his house to hang out with the rest of the gang.
