"Oh, come on!" Or practically yells, & a few heads turn in our direction. I try to ignore them, though wincing slightly. Or notices & lowers his volume. "You know they got enough influence to make your request heard."
"Mmm..." I nod slightly, hesitant. "Yeah, but... They're trouble."
He nods, resting his chin on his hand. "Yeah, good point. But the brother isn't, I guess?"
I look up, eyebrows raised. "Oh, yeah... What was his name?"
"Colden, I think?" Or raises his eyebrow & looks at me.
I sigh. "Ok, if you think it'll make a difference, go ahead. But you gotta be the one to ask him, not me."
"Ok." Or grinned ecstatically. "It's a pleasure." & he walked off.
I looked at Ayotunde questioningly & they shrugged. Why was Or so excited about talking this out for me? Maybe it's just him wanting to stir up trouble. I know he loves to do that. Yeah, that's probably it...
I try to watch passively from a distance, but he's already on the other side of the quad, so I can't really see much of anything... I hope it's going ok though...
Sorry, guys. Gotta end the chapter here. Got a perspective change coming up & it flows better if the whole chapter is one POV, & the next is a different one, etc. Sorry I haven't posted in a while.
