Chapter 31

The sun's rays shone on your face, waking you up from your sleep. You stretched your arms and remembered what you'd have to do today. You'd always think of what the whole day would consist of to mentally prepare for any work and to keep track of time. Today you would be meeting with Erwin, Levi, Mike, Hange and also Nile, head of the military police. After getting ready, you headed for breakfast with Petra. You looked around and didn't see Levi the whole morning, but you assumed he had some work to do so you didn't go to his office to look for him.

You and the Levi squad decided to go do some private training on the outdoor grounds to spend some time together. You also wanted to do some combat in preparation for the future mission. You fought against the whole squad and won every time, boosting your confidence. You were tired and so you sat on a small log nearby, and drank some water from your pouch. Oluo, Petra, Gunther and Eld noticed you and also walked over and sat beside you. Oluo smirked.

"soo, you and the captain huh"

Gunther and Eld giggled quietly hearing Oluo.

You almost spat out your water, not expecting that. You put down the pouch and didn't realize you were slightly red, maybe it was from the training, maybe not. You were about to reply but Petra elbowed Oluo.

"Hey, if you know then why are you teasing her?"

"what, I was just curious Petra, you're not really being a good future wife right now-"

Before Oluo could finish his sentence, Petra hit his head slightly from the back, which made him bite his tongue, and bleed. Gunther and Eld laughed hysterically and a smile grew on your face. Petra crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. You gave Oluo his cravat and helped him wipe his mouth. He chuckled nervously and scratched the back of his head.

"ahaha,, thank you y/n"

"It's okay, also yes, me and Levi are uhm"

Gunther, Eld and Petra gave you a warm smile at your words and Oluo smirked after putting his cravat away.

"I see, who knew a captain with a poker face 24/7 could ever fall in love"

Petra scoffed.

"Hey don't talk about the Captain like that"

You laughed at Oluo's statement and smiled.

"Yea, he's way more than that"

Eld patted your shoulder and smiled.

"Looks like someone's deeply in loooove"

You swatted his hand away slightly and all of you laughed while the sun was about to set. You all got on your horses and rode back to HQ, since you had to meet with the others before evening. After a shower and a change of uniform you still didn't see Levi anywhere so you got soup and bread for him assuming he didn't eat. You entered his office but nobody was there, until you heard someone behind you.

"Oi, you're in the wrong room"

You set the tray on his desk and turned around to face him.

"There you are"

"Come, we're all waiting for you"

"I thought I'd get you something before we start"

"It can wait, let's go"

he held the door open for you and you walked out with him following from behind. He caught up beside you and grabbed your hand surprising you. Without looking at him you held his hand intertwining your fingers and smiled. He opened the door for you and you stepped inside saluting to Erwin and Nile, then sitting beside Hange who had a serious but welcoming face. One thing about her, was she was extremely professional when she needed to be. You gave her a nod and Levi walked over and sat near Erwin. Mike looked at you and you smiled at him too and then all of you gave your attention to Erwin. Before saying anything, he slid some papers to Hange, motioning her to pass them to you. You picked them up and looked at Erwin for an explanation.
